Unless your 80+ and really want the wait staff to repeatedly say your name so you feel important and don't mind the ‘hit or miss' food and bad service. I am not a complainer, I do not even have very high standards for restaurants, but this place..... This restaurant has a horrible location; it is very difficult just to get into the mandatory valet parking. We had to wait for 3 light cycles before I could make the turn. They had terrible service, No bread until our food arrived...the salad had bad leaves that tasted terrible and chemically. Not to mention, when I am in there, I feel like I am being watched and every time I drop a fork or something falls off my plate, it feels like someone is watching and judging. This is a very pretentious place. While I am not a fan of the franchise, I have been to Ruth's Chris's before and they were just fine, but this one is just sub par on all levels. I am not normally such a critic but when charging 30+ per plate, you better bring it, and this place just fails. Seriously, don't go here, If you go here regularly and love it, maybe you should branch out a bit. It seems to be frequented by fancy pance old folks that like to throw money around for the sole reason of showing off...I don't get it...For such bad service I think your money could be better spent

We have tried so many, being from out of town, and every time we come to Atlanta, we have to go to Ruth Chris'......The steaks are the best and the sides are really great too!!! Try the asparagus with hollandaise and any of their potatoes!

In short, you can do better for a lot less money. I have had better food and service and Longhorn and Lone Star. The service was good, but not great. I have eaten at many other restaurants in their price point and have received MUCH better service. The first round of Mojitos that we ordered were terrible, so another bartender had to remake them. The glasses of Louis X111 cognac @ $100 per ounce were not even warmed. The steaks were overly peppered (all at the table agreed). I could go on, but you get the picture.

Ruth's Chris is BY FAR the most excellent place to have a romantic dinner. I have no idea what the reviews below are referring to. I have been to Ruth's Chris in Sandy Springs OFTEN and have always had perfect service, food and atmosphere is perfect. My food has always been wonderful. Many reviews compare Ruth's Chris to Chops - I don't even think they are comparable. I have dined at Chops on several occassions and they NEVER make me as happy as Ruth's Chris does. Ruth's Chris is AMAZING.

I ordered the ceaser salad and they gave me the bottom parts of the romaine. The dressing was very tasteless. I then received my $35 filet which they pour a melted butter on top which made the steak taste greasy. I ordered it medium but it came to me rare and cold in the middle. When I told the waiter he didn't apologize but did send it back and they cooked it a little more. The bread they sent to the table was sub rolls that were room temp. The chocolate mousse cheesecake was huge but tasteless. The waiter was efficient but not very friendly. My bill for 4 people was $248.00 and I left a $50 tip and to be honest I wish I didn't leave that much because he never thanked me after he received it. I was very disapointed with the whole evening. Ruth's Chris tries to give the appearance of a Mercedes but they have the interior of a Ford Focus. Save your money and go to LOnghorns or if you want to spend that kind of money go to Chops and you will be much more satisfied.

My wife and I were hoping for an intimate meal for our anniversary. However that was tough considering the interior reminded me of a 1970's golf clubhouse - outdated and drab. Our server was "professional", but not very friendly. We were brought the wine I ordered, but not the vintage I asked for. When I questioned it, I was told they only had a "newer" vintage. While no problem at all, I did not expect to be charged the same amount. The steak and sides were great, but that was about it. I think the place works fine for business lunches, but not for personal special occasions.

The steak and service at Ruth's Chris was just average for me, and the restaurant atmosphere wasn't very intimate. My particular server acted a bit brusque after I paid my check with a gift certificate, even though I'd planned on tipping 20% as usual (I still did, but his attitude wasn't appreciated.) I think this restaurant would be fine for a business meeting, but not for a date or special evening out. There are at least 3 other Atlanta restaurants with better steak, service, and atmosphere.

I ordered a NY strip cooked medium. About 25% of the steak was burned to a crisp on the outside and well done inside. The part that was cooked as requested tasted great. It was New Year's eve and they were busy, so maybe that was the problem. The au gratin potatoes were excellent and asparagus just average. I'm not opposed to spending this amount for special occassions and may give them another try. Partly, I am comparing them to Chops which, when I ate there, every item I ordered was the best I have ever had.
