Incompetent mower service department, 5/19/2011

I took a Honda walk behind mower in for service last year. They recommended replacing carb, which I approved. After three months and many calls, they eventually did the work. Only the mower... problems didn't go away. I was using a borrowed mower, so didn't take it back until this spring. Same complaint (won't start, runs rough, stalls). They replaced spark plug and said it was fixed. Mower ran for 15 minutes before it stopped once I got it home. These people don't know what they're doing.

Horrible!!!!!!!!!!!!, 12/15/2010

I have taken my equipment to them for service and repair and twice they have either misquoted the amount of the repair by hundreds of dollars or repaired items I did not ask to be repaired without... getting my ok. It's like taking your vehicle to a repair shop and them jacking up the price to rip you off!!!

Avoid Mower Repair Here.

I have never been too impressed with the quality from this store especially in the Service Department on a mower I purchased there. I have brought it in twice for repair over the years, both times I have been pretty dissapointed. Turn around time for both occassions was close to 4 weeks. Each time something wasn't right when it came back. The first repair I lived with, the second repair is back in to be re-evaluated but they have already told me they are going to replace the same part "just to see if that helps". Service staff is VERY friendly, but that is all they really have going for them. Prices are OK, and the service department is less than par.

Want to be treated fairly? This is THE place.

We no longer buy power equipment elsewhere. I have a mower from there and another relative has two. Service has been outstanding and the prices have been reasonable. If you are in the store for small hardware items, you get service as if it were a major purchase. Repairs and parts are right there along with expert advice.

Update - $80 to tell me my lawnmower works fine

07/27/08 - The general manager of the store sent me a very nice letter and refunded the entire cost of the repair. I am 100% satisfied. My lawnmower would not start. I took it to their store for repair, as I have in the past. The store charged me $80 to tell me my lawnmower works fine, but I needed to move the deck engagement lever out of the cutting position for it to start.
