I have used S&S to clean my rugs for several years. Last week, I left a painting class and didn't realize that I had dark green oil paint on the bottom of my shoe. I accidentally tracked the paint... all over three of my rugs, including a very expensive 9x12 oriental rug that I bought about 6 months ago. I was in a panic and called Stoney at S&S. One of his guys happened to be in my area, and he came right over and took all three rugs immediately back to their shop so that they could get to work on them. I am an oil painter, so I know by experience how hard it is to get oil paint out of anything. I was really concerned. Well, they got the paint out of all three rugs, and they are delivering them this afternoon. I can't say enough about this company! They are always friendly and professional. My rugs always come back looking new. They are fantastic!!!VIEW MORE »VIEW LESS »

Our area rugs were in serious need of deep cleaning including dog urine on some of them. The results of S&S were amazing. The rugs look and smell brand new. Highly recommend their services and we had them back within a week of pick-up!!!!
i've used their services several times and have been more than pleased each time. the owners are 100% hands-on, do their own pick-ups and deliveries and are very honest and pleasant. will use again...and again...and again!

Both of the people that we dealt with at S&S were very professional and friendly, and honest. They repaired our dining room rug quickly, and now it is not even noticable that there was a tear at one time. Their price for the repair was very fair. We would certainly recommend them for rug repair.

I brought these guys a rug that some other company really messed up and they gladly fixed it for me. What impressed me the most was that the owners are the name and face of the company. I got the feeling that if there were any problems they would take care of it personally. Not that there were any problems. I will without a doubt be bringing all my rugs to them in the future.

Responsive, and their cleaning process sure seems thorough. Had a problem with one rug but they gladly re-did it. When you call it's usually one of the owners that picks up.

Spills and stains are a part of life, but what is the best way to treat them? S&S Rug Cleaners reveals 4 secrets from the rug cleaning pros for treating stains and keeping rugs looking fresh and new.
When presented with a spot on the rug, most people's instinct is to rub the stain out. The truth is that rubbing causes the particles to get ground deeper into the fibers. Not only does this break down the carpet fibers, but it also makes the spot more permanent. Instead of rubbing, blot the stain with a soft towel or sponge. Apply a small amount of pressure to absorb the stain. Also, blot from the outside of the stain inward to prevent spreading.

Area rugs make a nice addition to many rooms, creating a subtle decorative touch. However, since there are differences in machine-made rug cleaning and handmade rug cleaning, you’ll want to know which kind you own. Professional cleaners should be able to tell you, but the experts at S&S Rug Cleaners have a few starting points for you so that you can get an idea before your visit.
The back of the rug contains the most clues for you. Look at the weaving and the knots on this side. If they are very neat and even, the rug was probably made by a large machine called a power loom. If they are a little less uniform, the rug was probably made by hand (either knotted or woven). While you’re on the back side, check... READ MORE »
Your area rug gets a lot of traffic on a day-to-day basis, so you’re going to have a hard time keeping it clean. Here are a few tips to help you along the way.
The most important part of area rug cleaning is constant upkeep. You can brush out pet hair and then vacuum large rugs or shake out small rugs. You should also rotate your rugs on a yearly basis so that different parts are exposed to sunlight.
If your rug gets stained, treat it as soon as possible, usually using a diluted detergent solution. Remember not to rub at the stain with your cleaner. Instead, blot the stain by dabbing at it up and down.
