Forgot to pack some essentials, so what better than good old Safeway to fill the need as opposed to the hotel gift shop. Stopped by their deli isle to grab some food for the dog too. Rice and meatloaf, which he loved. I was disappointed they didn't have a stitch of vegetables though, so I could make believe I'm feeding my dog healthily. When it was time to pay, I typed in my old phone number of their tracking system machine. Somehow I try to become a member, but it never gets processed. That's ok, they can track my old number all they want. I really don't want any special offer paperwork junk mail to arrive at my home anyway.

20 years ago, Moraga had four grocery stores. Now they only have one. Built as a Safeway Super Store in 1985, recent upgrades narrowed the aisles and added a Starbucks inside. Open 24 hours but watch out for the product stalking at night. Crowded during the day because no competition. Good deli and bakery.
