Last year one dog had Malignant Histiocytic Sarcoma (life expectancy weeks, no cure); This week I lost one after a 7 month mysterious battle after ACL surgery. We have spend thousands, upon thousands in every attempt to help them. It was our choice to try everything. At no time did the doctors @ SPAH take advantage; my husband is an accountant/tax expert. The honesty, compassion, and genuine care they gave us allowed us not to feel alone. They always explained options and tried to help us reduce costs when possible. The most important thing is they allowed us to have extra time, while trying to keep our pets comfortable. I doubt a "discount" or free vet would care for your pets as you'd want them too. Like human doctors...they have a skill, families, and need to make a living too. I wish they were my doctors. They are like family to us now.

I took a sick, senior kitty to this vet and was charged an arm and a leg for blood work and tests - I would guess about 2 to 3 times what the cost really was. I then continued treatment for this cat and was overcharged for prescription food and IV supplies and fluid. I was not impressed by the staff either. Don't waste your money. I never left this office without spending at least $200.00 a visit.
