Best in San Diego
One night my wife and I went out looking for somewhere to have a nice meal. Walked by the door of siagon on fifth, and saw that it was packed (a good sign). So we went in, looked at the menu, which has a top price of only $15.95. we took a table and kept our fingers crossed. The food was beyond our wildest expectations. We have been back twice since then and always order something different, all that we ordered has been great. I especially recomend the "Love Boat", or the Creamy Basil Fish. So good you will go crazy!!!!!!

A little pricey but very good.
A Vietnamese friend introduced me to this place. I'm hooked! Everything I have tried here, from the coconut shrimp (served in a coconut shell), 360 beef, bun with filet mignon, crab fried rice, spring rolls and the fish cooked various ways, have all exceeded my expectations. It's worth your money to splurge on a meal here - your taste buds will thank you! (note this is not the best place for pho.)

What a great place to experience
I eat in this restaurant at least once a week and I have never had a complaint about the food. They are open until 3 am every night. The food is even less expensive late nightcheck out their late night menu. The owner here strives to make everyone feel comfortable and makes sure his food is always fresh.I dont think that this place should be compared to other Vietnamese restaurants,it is in a class by itself.

mediocre food, totally inauthentic
My wife (Vietnamese) and I (not) went here with high hopes, but found the food somewhat bland, oversalted, and totally unlike real Vietnamese food. On the upside, the server was very friendly and helped us get out the door on time for a movie.

so so
The food was okay. I went here because the real saigons on El Cajon Blvd was closed. I thought they might be the same owners, Wrong! The food was 2x's as expensive with half the portions. Besides that, it wasn't as delicious. It's nice if you want to impress a date(better than them thinking your a psycho for going to a hole in the wall at any other pho shop) but not worth it at all. It has better service and embiance but not worth the hike. All I had was the spring rolls and pho.

nice experience by Angela Y. at InsiderPages
Came here with a couple of friends and the atmosphere is nice. Food is pretty decent - a good variety. People in our group ordered the 360 Filet mignon and said it was good. Heard good reviews for the red curry. I had the crunchy noodles with seafood and vegetables. I liked it, but I would probably prefer to eat it at a more authentic restaurant. Overall a nice place to go. Also it's open late so that's always a plus.

Affordable food downtown. Not as authentic but hey the food tastes good enough that I would definitely come back here with family or friends to enjoy some ameri-viet food.
