If you are reading this you realize how hard it is to attend your first therapy session. I researched the internet, spoke to my insurance company, and asked many questions by phone before scheduling. Two hours before my session I again phoned to verify my appointment time and was guaranteed everything was set. Upon arrival they asked me to fill out typical paperwork which included a standard sheet that stated I must pay if for ANY reason I canceled without a 24 hour notice. Tension built as my therapist was running late. I sat for a total of 45 minutes. I was then called and escorted back to her office. What happened next lacked any concern of why I had the appointment or for my feelings. She simply stated that she had overbooked once again and she had no time for me. I was then escorted back to the front where I was unable to make an appointment. It is now a week later and to this moment I have never heard from them again. I had to call my insurance company so that I could see another therapist. They have red flagged the company with a serious quality issue. One last question for you Saint Louis Behavioral Medicine Institute shouldn't you have to abide by the same rules you set to see your staff?
