I went to this place because of the high reviews it received here. Sorry to say this place is not what the reviews make it out to be. -First the space is small, cramped and crowded. They only have one sushi chef working, so it took nearly an hour to get our food. This was on a Tuesday, so I can only imagine what it would be like on a weekend. -The wait staff was either inexperienced or rude. I couldn't really tell which. Most of the time they ignored us..after about 45 minutes we had to yell for one to bring us some more water while we were still waiting on our food. -The sushi itself was mediocre at best. Very small portions, very little meat, lots of rice. Harry's/Whole Food's sushi is better then this. It was like publix grade sushi. I have eaten at a lot of sushi places and this place was not worth it at all. I will not be going back. If you need a place close by, the portions at Fuji Hanna are better and the service is definitely superior.

Tim and Sandy have put together a high quality, friendly sushi bar in Marietta. I have been eating sushi for nearly 20 years and cannot recall a sushi restaurant anywhere (including high end NYC and San Fran bars) that is as consistently superior as Sakura. Sit at the bar and make sure you have several items from the "specials" board or ask Tim what is good that day. You won't be disappointed. And try the Funaguchi draft sake...

I was recently introduced to this restaurant by a co-worker and am now hooked. Tim and his team are some of the most creative sushi chefs in Atlanta. The food is extremeley fresh and the displays exhibit true artistry. The restaurant may lack the ambiance of some higher end restaurants, but I do not go to a restaurant for the scenery. The quality of the food and the pleasant staff more than compensates.

This restaurant has the best sushi rolls in town - including some special rolls that are baked such as the "Trust Me Roll". The traditional sushi is also good but you should go there for the rolls. We have yet to find a place with rolls as unique and as good.

We did NOT have sushi. Just the Hibashi Grill Chicken. My husband and I were miserably sick. We called the restaurant, they didn't care. And said if we went to the emergency room then they would refun half our money. STAY AWAY!

Sakura has always been a family favorite with us. The staff was friendly, and the food was great. Lately, however, the service has been really poor. The food is still great, and the serving portions have increased. But on our last two visits, we have waited more than 45 mins. between ordering and an entree appearing at the table.
