I feel it a blessing to have been directed to Giselle's website this morning. She is professional, stylish, informative, and a real people person. I had no apprehensions and I am very pleased with her service. Can't wait to see her again in 8 weeks because I feel my hair is finally in gifted hands. On my my to a natural and healthy hair journey!!!!

Salon Au Naturel gets an A for stylist personality, a B for washing a C for cut and styling. Giselle is attentive and is good at making you feel comfortable in her salon. I was not impressed however, with the way my hair turned out. I am African American (hair type 3c/4a/b). I went in for a wash, cut and twist out style. Things were okay until the twist out. She used Jane Carter's Wrap & Roll as the only hair product for my twist out. My hair was dry, crunchy overall and frizzy in some places. I went home very disappointed and people who saw it commented on the dryness and said that my hair did not look like it was professionally done. My decision to try Salon Au Naturel was based solely on internet reviews which are until now all favorable. From the reviews others have evidently had good experiences - me, not so much. My advice would be to see actual results on someone first before going. Nothing personal, I just have to be honest. Oh... I did call the salon to share my disappointment and Giselle offered to refund 1/3 of the total cost of my salon bill but I didn't take her up on the offer. My hair is now braided and I'm still searching for a natural hair stylist. By the way, I highly recommend Boosa at BAMBA Hair Braiding.(The salon is unattractive, not the cleanest and the stylists barely speak English but you will be pleased with your hair).

I was so impressed with the service that I received at Salon Au Naturel! I was a little nervous because I had decided to do the Big Chop and wanted to make sure that all of my questions were answered. Giselle was awesome. She is very patient, knowledgable, & encouraging. I truly felt pampered as Giselle does not over-book so it was great to have one on one attention in a spa-like atmosphere. I highly recommend Giselle to everyone but ESPECIALLY those who are new to the natural hair experience. You will be in great hands.

Giselle is a natural hair care expert! She firmly believes in using true organic hair care products---you will not find any petroleum, silicone, or sulfate based products here. Giselle is extremely knowledgeable and personable. She patiently explains how to use the products properly as well as how to maintain your hairstyle once you leave the salon. In the past, I have visited other natural salons in the area but I have never experienced the same level of personalize attention and customer service at those salons. Even my mom travels four hours one-way to have her hair cared for by Giselle. You will not regret visiting Giselle at Salon Au Naturel.

Last Night I visited Salon Au Naturel for my first time. When I entered the salon the vibe was exactly what I needed after a long day at work. The design was simple and clean. I arrived early so as I sat there enjoying a cup of coffee the soothing music flowed over me and the scents from the candles indulged my senses. I felt such a sense of tranquility. My stylist Giselle was great she has such a glowing personality. My appointment was at 7pm and she started on me promptly. When Giselle was working with me I found it so refreshing to have the individualized attention she wasn't running back and forth between clients nor talking on phone. She was giving me my time, making me feel special, getting to know me. Giselle took the time to explain the products she was using on my hair and why. She also offered her opinion on products she has personally tried and that she would recommend for my at home care/treatment. Although I couldn't really explain the style I wanted Giselle listened to what I told her, envisioned it, and let her creativity go to work. I must say I love my hair and have gotten so many compliments today and not to mention my husband loves it.

I drive 45 minutes so Giselle can cut and style my hair. It is worth every minute and every penny! I wore a TWA (teeny weeny Afro) 15 years ago. I loved it, but used pomade or grease and cut my hair with clippers because I did not know any better! Many styles and textures later, I'm back to my TWA. I'm so glad I found Giselle. My hair is sophisticated, shiny and chock-full of curls! Giselle uses the right products to bring out my curls (didn't even know about curl patterns until Giselle taught me) and uses shears-not clippers-to cut my hair. Amazing! Giselle has an eye for detail and I feel so pampered when I am in her chair. I never like to go straight home after Giselle styles my hair because I want to show off my beautiful curls! If you are tired of your TWA lookin' like a dry sponge, try Giselle at Salon au Naturel. You will be glad that you did!

Giselle did a wonderful job. First I really enjoyed the tranquil and pleasant atmosphere of the salon. As soon as I arrived for my appointment I was serviced. I was not sure on the color I wanted to dye my hair and Giselle helped me think of ideas I would not normally think of. I got a wonderful color and I am sooooo loving it. I have gotten nothing but compliments. I was in and out all in a decent amount of time and her service was great. I really felt comfortable and at home. I got a nice trim and my hair has been thriving since. I will definitely be back. Thanks Giselle!

While there are many places in Atlanta to get your hair styled nicely, there are very few that will also take care in making sure your hair maintains its health. Salon au Naturel is the one salon where I know I can get both. Aside from a curly style, Giselle can also straighten my hair flawlessly. I would definitely recommend Giselle to those with natural hair and especially anyone who needs to nurse their hair back to health.

I had a Friday morning appointment at the new salon. Giselle greeted me as always - smiling and welcoming. The place is so inviting. This was important to me because I've paid for services in cold salons, unkempt salons and unfriendly salons. I believe the atmosphere displays the attitude of the owner. It's funky, eclectic yet modern and relaxing. Giselle while welcoming and charming was above all professional. My hair is Fabulous. I was not left to feel unattended or just a number at any time. She respects my time and my visit was appropriate for the services. Hats off to Giselle - Colorist extraordinaire!

Giselle, helped me in transitioning from locs to a short natural style. After she cut my locs she colored my hair and made the transition extremely comfortable. She has a great personality and the value for the money is outstanding especially when compared to other natural salons. The new salon is beautiful and an overall great atmosphere. I will tell everyone I know about Giselle because she is an EXCELLENT professional stylist. Give her a try and I am sure you will love her too. Team Giselle.... :)

I have been to countless hair salons for well over 30 years in DC and Atlanta. Giselle is by far the best hair stylist I have ever had. She is very talented, personable and genuine. I will never let anyone else handle my hair again. Her shop is beautiful, relaxing and helps you forget your troubles while you are there. It is rare to find an excellent stylist who is also an all-around nice person. Carmen

I have been with Giselle for a little while now. But I was hoping that her prices would've been about 10 dollars cheaper for some of the services she provided. It is part of the reason why people come less frequently or only to get certain services done. The salon is beautiful though. Her service is top notch. But for those people who may be students, they may not be able to afford this on a regular basis. But I will continue to go on occasion.

I've tried or consulted with several natural hair salons, around town, who claim to know about black natural hair. Although, I found that a most were equally talented as stylists, they failed to qualify as a holistic natural practitioner due to the products they use(d), products that ultimately dry out black kinky hair - robbing it of vitality and that ever elusive length, products that have been traditionally, but ignorantly, used for generations. Ladies, if you are in Atlanta and seeking some assistance (recent big chop, need home care guidance, need someone skilled at cutting/trimming your hair periodically, or just want to treat yourself to a style - giving yourself a break) call GISELLE!
