I've been going to Alana for two years. Each visit, she asks me how I want my hair cut, and then she delivers a perfect cut every time. I was sorry tonight that I didn't have a party to go to,... after my cut, so I could show it off!VIEW MORE »VIEW LESS »

I wanted a new look for the new year and tried stylist Alana at Salon Red in Decatur on the recommendation of a friend. I've gone to her twice now and she is caring, professional, patient with "Nervous Nellie" clients and gave me a great cut and color. Both the Decatur and Dekalb Ave shops are high energy and fun to visit.
AWESOME hairdresser. Alana fixed a bad home dye job and has worked wonders on my thick coarse hair. I wouldn't go to anywhere else for cut, color and style. She is extremely talented and works hard to stay up on the latest styles, cuts and techniques. Love her! and you will too.
If you're looking for the best color in Atlanta, you need to see Rebecca. She listens to EXACTLY what you want and she makes sure you get just that. Also, if you're one of those types that don't necessarily know what you want, Rebecca is well equipped to help you achieve the best colors for your hair. The quality and precision of her cut/color processes leave you feeling like a new person. It's always a blast to see her and I wouldn't even think about letting anyone else touch my hair. I've recommended her to numerous friends and have yet to hear any complaints. If there's that "spark" missing in your hair-do, go see Rebecca so she can show you what you've been missing out on!!
We (my daughter and I) were referred to Becca at Salon Red by a friend. It was the best referral I have ever received. I am 49 years old and my daughter is 15 and Becca has WOW'd both of us. We will go no where else!
I was walking thru downtown decatur one day and was approached by a guy from Salon RED. He gave me a flyer for a free haircut so i called in the next week and booked my appt. i was a little nervous at first because i have been going to the same stylist for 15 years. Once i sat down I felt at ease he was so kind and listened to what i wanted. I will be back again. Thanks TREY you are the best!!!!
Got my haircut by Bridget and my hair highlighted by Atwood. So great, my haircut is perfect and Bridget is recommended by many. Atwood rocks with the highlights!! She listened to what i wanted and gave me natural highlights that look great and lasted. Highly recommend both.
I'm one of those people who does nothing to my hair beyond wash - no drying, no curling, no styling. Needless to say, my hair is typically pretty bland-looking and more often than not I wear it pulled back. I tend to bounce around to different salons, looking for that miracle cut that will give me a little style without my having to work for it. I have to say, the Salon Red stylists have done a better job at it than I ever expected possible. My first time there was with Morgan, and just recently I saw Jodi (because she handed me a card for a free hair cut while I was walking by - I'm not one to pass up free offers!). I would be hard-pressed to tell you which did a better job - they were both fantastic. They listened to what I wanted, and I ended up with both the length and the layering I desired. My hair looks cute even without styling, and I find myself wearing it down more often than I ever have in my life. I got so many compliments after my first visit to the salon I was starting to feel like a rock star (now I think my friends are used to my hair looking better). I no longer bounce around to different salons - Salon Red does a great job at a fantastic price, and I couldn't be happier with them.
This was my first visit to Salon Red. And my last. I came in with a picture of what I wanted and felt I clearly described what I was looking for, but my hair looks NOTHING like what I described to her. I asked for caramel, but I got blond (which has fried my hair). I asked for big chunks, I even explicitly said I HATE thin strands of color. I got thin strands. While my color was setting, the hairdresser snuck another client in and I sat for 20 minutes beyond the time my color was done setting. And when I told her I didn't like how she was styling my hair, she didn't fix it. She told me, "that's because of how I blew-dry it." And 80% of the color is on one side of my hair - it looks frosted! - and the other has 2 little highlights. I HATE MY HAIR. And the apathy I received is even more insulting.
I went to Jodi for hi-lites. She listened to exactly what I wanted, and I was out in an hour and a half. My hair turned out beautiful, and looked so natural. I've been to some salons where I've been there all day. I sent my husband, and she does wonderful men's cuts too. Thanks, Jodi, you're our new family stylist!
I like this salon. Its trendy, but not overdone. You get a pro hair cut and and its not over priced. I recomend it.
