After making what I thought was an appointment for multiple services for a friend and myself I was told that our appointments had been given away because there wasn't a credit card hold for the appointment made and that this was their policy. When I called to make the appointment I was not asked to give any credit card info as I would have done with no problem to hold the appointments. This was ridiculous, unacceptable, and a big waste of time. I was also told that there was nothing they could do since it is a "first come first serve" at which I was taken back from because I am pretty sure when you ask if there are available appointments and they schedule you in that means they have availability for you. This was clearly a big screw up on their part and they didn't take ownership of it to make it right. This is 100% a company that is not worthy of giving your business to which is a shame they couldn't find a way to make this situation right. Would not recommend a poorly ran spa like this to anyone.

Ms McCann, Since you also placed your review on our facebook page, I have been able to ascertain your name and I have received your review regarding an appointment for spa services. It is suspicious that I do not see your name, phone number or address in our data base. Did you make the reservation under another name? It is possible that one our Guest Service members may have neglected to get your credit card information. However, to reserve a spa appointment we MUST have your name and pertinent contact information to schedule and confirm the appointment. Therefore, I am unable to track the history of your complaint.
It is our policy to require a credit card number to reserve spa appointments, as it is a standard practice for reputable spas in Atlanta and nationally. I would like to pursue this matter further with you. I hope that you will contact me directly so that I may investigate where we may have failed in the reservation process. We are committed to providing service excellence to all of our guests. We train our staff to take especially good care of our guests making a reservation for the first time. I hope you will contact me so that we can further investigate your concern. Thank you, Venessa Lanier, owner email@example.com or call me directly 770/591-2079.
I have been going to venesa's since she was in small store front shop she had, I have never had a credit card on file, and spoke to her about that she said since I was a longtime client she would not make me do so I have never missed an appoitmnet or ever owed her $$. when I called today I got the give us a credit card to keep on file. Nobody does that she hires rude little teenagers, Who don't know anything. I quit going for haircuts when erin left I know the things that go on there nobody should leave their card there have been thefts. beware of business that ask for such things.

Ms. Ellen, The policy to ask for a credit card to reserve spa appointments is a standard and routine policy in the spa industry. This has been our policy since we were located in a "small store front". Since you have not been a guest to our business since 2012, and due to frequent late cancellations in the past, we would require this information to secure your reservation. Our young(college graduate) receptionist referred you to the guest services manager, who has 20 years experience. She explained to you that we offer the option to purchase a gift card to secure appointments to guests that are not willing or able to give credit card information. We have never had a guest's credit card information stolen or misused in 23 years of business. I am sorry that you have been told untruths about our business policies and history. venessa lanier, owner
Went in for my appointment 15 min late and was refused service. The staff was very rude and unwilling to help. The management and owner are very unprofessional! The manager that I dealt with never went to cosmetology school. How can you manage a business and not have a background in the service? Scary stuff! The owner has quite the reputation among the other merchants in the area of being rude, snobby, and unhelpful. If you have a issue here don't expect it to be resolved!

Step through the door and relax. From the moment you enter you are wrapped in luxury and well cared for. All spas are pricey to me, but few splurges aren't.. Irina is amazing and Erin the best of the best. If you live anywhere near DT Woodstock treat yourself.

I came here to have an Aveda salon closer to home. When I requested what kind of stylist I wanted, I thought that it would work out great. Though the lady who cut and colored my hair was extremely nice, she did not get the color I wanted and specified (lighter), instead she wanted to go more natural. When I called and asked for a redo-I was welcomed back, but no coloring services were offered for the high price I paid, just a bit more hair cut off. I was told to wait 6 more weeks and then have it redone. The cut just wasn't right either. I will drive out of my way to get the best Aveda salon. I'm disappointed and it was over $140 for services that were not what I wanted.

I am relaxed the instant I walk through the door at Salon Venessa. All of the staff are wonderful! Every service here is perfection! Shane is FAR from snobby and does a great manicure and pedicure. Janet is great fro massage and Amy is fabulous for waxing. If you live in the area, GO!

I've been going here for years and think it's wonderful. The stylists go to continuing education classes from Aveda, so they know the latest and greatest. It's a little expensive, but worth it. The spa services can be spotty - get a recommendation from your stylist before booking.

I went to Salon Venessa for years, but recently it seems a bit snobby. They have signs up asking that you dont bring children in(even though previously my daughter sat quietly in a chair without a peep). The haircuts were fine, but I felt looked down upon for not spending tons of money. When my talented stylist left, so did I.

My first and last visit to Salon Vanessa's was one hour filled with smug insults from their resident "foot expert" Shane. She greeted me with a scolding for being 15 minutes EARLY to which I replied that I allowed time to find the place. Then she spent my entire pedicure insulting the condition of my feet and the work that my regular pedicurist does. I left there anything but relaxed and refreshed. In fact, I couldn't wait to rush out the front door!!
