San Diego Blood Bank

Giving blood is a great thing to do, the only problem I have with the Blood Bank is that the atmosphere is very sterile. They could do with some color to make the environment feel more comfortable.

I am able to give blood to be banked for my own surgery. The blood was delivered to the hospital on time, as promised. The staff was very nice and professional.

My experience was not actually at the blood bank, but at one of the MANY drives they do. OLPH was having a blood drive, so I said what the heck. I told the staff it was my first time, and they took such good care of me! They made sure I was doing fine, and the "aftercare", was superb. I received in the mail, a donor card, which allows me to go on line and check what my cholesterol was, bp, pulse, and I found out my blood type. What other dr. will do that for free?

I'm so grateful that this service exists. My daughter needs frequent transfusions and knowing that friends and family can donate directly to her through them is a huge relief.

The staff is always friendly. They genuinely have a care for those who are in need of blood and best of all, NON-PROFIT! The office is clean and the nurses are gentle.
