I'm not much into Zoo's which is maybe why I didn't like this? I took the tour of Africa but wasn't impressed. In order to get really close to the animals, you have to pay the big bucks. Most of the animals were sleeping when we were there and were hard to see. I probably won't go back.

This was the first wild animal park I had visited. Took the train ride, and waited an hour to get on there. It was pretty neat, but didn't see what the hype was. Don't know if I'll go back, seems kind of expensive.

This isn't just a zoo. The wild animal park is GINORMOUS. They have a tram that goes around where the animals are not caged, so they have a very big habitat. It sucks that you don't get a chance to be close to them, but to see them in something similar to their natural habitat, instead of glass walls, is amazing.

I've been to the WAP once and really don't see the need to go again. I suppose it's park of the SD Tourist Trtfecta (zoo, wap, and seaworld). It's hotter than hades in the summer time.

I went here, after checking out all the other San Diego sight seeing location. The best part is the lion kingdom where you can see lions close up. There is a long tram ride around the park and you can learn a lot.

This is a great place to take the family for a visit to see animals as close to nature as you can get. The park changes all the time, so you can go year round to see new stuff. Prices are great and lots to see and do.

Maybe I just went at a bad time but I thought the wild animal park was a huge waste of time. They had more birds than anything which I could just see out my window at home. The only thing that was even worth anything was the tram ride and that wasn't even worth the ride up there.
