Overpriced. Went in there to trade a gun. $3200 rifle and scope. offered $2k worse than a pawn shop.

Let me start off by saying, I've never been there. I called three times, was hung up on twice and put on hold forever the third time and when she came back she couldn't answer any of my questions. If they don't value my business, then I don't value theirs. Get a new receptionist, she's losing your customers

Although my brother is an avid gun collector and shooter I have never really felt that comfortable with or around guns. But after visting the SSGC&R I have an entirely new outlook on firearms. The staff made me feel totally at ease and they assisted me on finding the right gun for my needs. The also have great accessories and I now know what I will get my brother for his next birthday. I have been back several times since my initial visit and I look forward to my next visit.

I went to these guys for the first time two weeks ago and wouldn't go anywhere else now. Everyone there was courteous, knowledgeable and helpful. I bought a used weapon there and it didn’t work properly and they didn’t hesitate to make things right. They were extraordinarily responsible and ethical in handling the matter. In fact they were downright humble about it. The entire club is run with one thing in mind…..”Take care of the customer”. Anyone in the North Metro area looking for a gun club, range or gun shop should work with these guys.

The Sandy Springs Gun Club and Range is the only Gun Range in the Atlanta area that I have been in where the staff are unpretentious and are the friendliest, most customer oriented, they make you feel at comfortable and safe, no matter if you are a first time shooter or an expert. The facility is top notch, classy, and clean. On the retail side they have some of the best, high-end inventory of guns, rifles and shotguns as well as plenty of accessories. Best Rang in Atlanta!!!

I'm an old gun hand, former Army Infantry; and love my guns. So I've spent much time in many ranges; and hands down Sandy Springs Gun Club is exceptional in 99 ways out of a 100. There is room for all at the club. I enjoy being around gun geeks and novices alike; which you will find in spades at the club. It is a very pleasant environment; and the staff is without equal. They will go above and beyond for anyone. My only issue with the range is the astronomical retail mark up on accessories and firearms. As much as I LOVE being a member at the club, I cannot support it from a retail stand point; because the mark ups are outrageous. Prices are easily 25-50% higher in the shop than other avenues of purchase. I understand, and do not mind paying a slight premium to support the club; but the mark up's at the range are not acceptable at all. I wish I could walk into the club and purchase parts, accessories for my firearms, ammo, and firearms; but their prices are just way too high. In spite of that, because of the people, I will remain a member; and I'll certainly guide all who'll listen into the fold.

I took my 2 sons to the range for my youngest son's 16th birhtday. The staff was extremely helpful and patient given that we were beginners. We were able to try out a variety of handheld firearms and assault rifles. Great male bonding experience. The facility was very nice. We will be returning.

This is the best indoor range in town, hands down: -Flat rate unlimited range time -Well ventilated facility (air conditioning broke down recently but is usually *very* nice, and even without a/c the SMOKE gets cleared out fast so you don't leave with your nose clogged with powder!) -Friendly, knowledgable, easy-going staff -Low cost gun rentals -No restriction on bringing your own ammo to put through their rentals (save by buying it at wal-mart!) -Ladies night is Thursday-- free range time for the girls! -Pedestrian clientele-- you won't feel like you're an inadequate novice if you don't own 5 guns and reload your own ammo; in fact I've seen groups of people here on weeknights many times who have obviously never held a gun before having a blast tearing up zombie targets! -Hardcore clientele-- if your speed is a little more serious, there are still plenty of people to mingle with and compare notes on guns, techniques, and competitive shooting events / associations. I have been to most of the ranges in the north half of Atlanta and while I don't see any reason to knock the rest of them, this is definitely my favorite for the above reasons.

I've wanted to check out this place since it opened, and I finally had a chance during their lunch special (a great deal, $10 from 11a-2p during the week). Ventilation is great. Staff is knowledgeable AND friendly (other ranges, are you reading?!) I'm encouraging my wife to check out their monthly 'womens only' class.

Ive seen my fair share of ranges, both military and civilian and can personally say that this is the nicest facility i have had the pleasure of shooting at. The girl, sara at the front desk was very helpful and assisted my dad in getting a family membership and Mr. Rainwater at the gun sales counter was extremely knowledgable when it came to the application and use of firearms and is able to assist folks in buying the right gun for the right application. There prices are comporable to other ranges around but the atmosphere and staff attitude is above and beyond that creates a "Clubhouse" type atmostphere rather than an annoyed staff too troubled to deal with you.

Updates - bought a membership and very very glad I did. Sandy Springs team has been great! Routed me to lower "newbie costs", shooting tips (when i asked), face recognition (they care to learn your name), asked for ways to improve their service. I have specific needs due to my "citizen soldier" other job and this group made it happen. Sandy springs, Norcross and other PD shoot here, so it's catching on!

As most females who have never been introduced to guns and shooting ranges, I must say: 1 The range is very user friendly to women. 2 The staff is very helpful to both males and females. 3 I took an introductory class, which was also very informative and helped easy the initial "fear of gun" firing. I have been recommending this place to all my girl friends.
