My experience with Jesse Saylor and Saylor Landscaping has left me where I cannot in good conscience recommend him to anyone who is looking for landscaping work to be done. Mr Saylor was unable to be "responsive" in meeting my (the customer) "needs" despite his website stating he will do this. The problems came with the implementation of the design and the finish work. As it was left, corners were cut and the finish was rushed leaving the yard looking like a continuing work-in-progress (i.e.unfinished). This is unacceptable particularly given my large financial investment. Concerns arose at the beginning with his very vague and undetailed contract. At my request he updated it with more detail, however, even the updated contract still was lacking in detail on what he agreed he would complete. The greatest detail in the contract was on the payment schedule with the amounts and due dates laid out with great specificity. I found he overcharged, demonstrated a lack of communication, and his work was messy/incomplete. Unfortunately, I took it in good faith and on a referral that he would complete the job to fit what I was looking for. In the end the outcome was very disappointing. His response to my email regarding finishing the job was that he had "complete(d) (the) project's contractual scope of work". If you choose to work with Jesse Saylor and Saylor Landscaping, you do so at your own risk. I wish you the best of luck but wouldn't expect the best outcome.
