I had my roof replaced by Schantz in '94. Recently I noticed a water spot on my ceiling. I was informed that the workmanship warranty of 5 yrs was up but someone would come out to investigate the roof. Within a week of my initial call, Danny Wilson came out to investigate.
I have a small house and roof line so he climbed up to the roof and quickly found the problem. He showed me the pictures he took of the culprit; pine straw needles and leaves that got under the shingles. Thankfully it's a manageable maintenance problem. Because it's a small job and their minimum would be more than the value of the job he told me exactly what needed to be done if I wanted to get someone else on my own. He also advised me on another potential issue and what to do about it. The best tip he gave me was to have the repairer to take pictures to show that the work was done correctly since I'm not climbing on top of the roof to look at it.
