I grew up in Springfield and recently moved back after moving to Utah for 3 years. One of the first things I did was go to Schulers when i got home... you will never taste anything like the cookies and doughnuts from this bakery.. simply to die for. However, there is a younger employee at the Mitchell Blvd. store that is rude to me every time I go.. to the point that I simply have to ask for another employee. :( Sad for her to ruin what is usually such a treat.

I've lived from the east coast to the west coast & across the pond. Never have I had a baked good as fantastic as Schulers. My family knows to pack extra zip lock bags to bring back those Butterfly cookies when they visit. Quality and consistancy for over 40 yrs in my book as those cookies taste just as good today as when I was a little kid.

The donuts are very, very tasty. They crank them out by the semi-load, so you're rarely going to get one that's not fresh. The scary things, though, are those cream puffs they keep caged under the front counter. Those things look like they could feed 50. Each. Worth the stop every time.
