It is your choice as to the level of comfort and care you are able and/or willing to pay for but our dogs receive the best and that's what they got under Dr. Teague and the entire staff at Scripps Ranch Veterinary Hospital.

We recently adopted a dog and too him here as the previous owners had. Overpriced and double billed us. I didn't get the feeling that anyone there really loved animals but that they were trying to sell me things we didn't need. Will not be returning to this vet. I instead will drive to San Marcos to use our old vet- Person/Nespor. Fair prices and people who act like they care.

Unfortunately, this rating site forced me to give one star. Zero or negative stars would more accurately reflect my experience with this vet. I had a very upsetting experience with this vet. Dr. Teague told me ""You're getting to be a bit difficult; I suggest you find another vet"after she grew frustrated by my having questioned her apparently wrong (and later confirmed to be wrong) prescription dosage and my prior persistence in trying to get her to figure out what was causing my cat's months-long respiratory symptoms (sneezing fits, wheezing, lethargic, plus immune system shot, causing ringworm). Luckily I had a friend who was able to diagnose my cat's disease, so I asked Dr. Teague to please just test her for Cryptococcus. Sure enough, that's what my cat had. And luckily I found a vet who took my concerns seriously and was able to cure my cat's potentially fatal disease: The VCA Hospital in Hotel Circle, San Diego.

If you want the personal care and comfort of an old fashioned veterinarian who's up-to-date with the latest technology and best-practices, give Dr. Patricia Teague-Smith and her staff a try. We were referred to her by a freind and now I'd like to pass on the referral to others. She and her staff are just super! From routine pet care and nutrition, to emergency services, they can handle it and you won't be disappointed.
