We love it! After our home was burglarized we researched many alarm companies and felt Security One Services to be the best! We never leave our home without setting it. Not to mention we have 2 blind children, so it's nice to hear the chimes when the doors open. Although they have never opened a door without a one of us, it's just the security of having it. Especially if someone were to come into our home, even if we were there. A great system to have!

I recently purchased a new home in August 2013.My helpful next door neighbor referred me to Security One Services. There was an existing DSC system in the home. I called the office and spoke with a Security Specialist named Steve. He asked me a few questions then described the services and pricing options. Steve E-mailed me a quote then followed up the next day to see if I had received it. Sometimes my junk mail filter eats my emails. We got a quote from Ackerman and ADT and after meeting the high pressure salesman and reading the contracts we decided on Security One Services. The tech cam out a day later and checked the system out then installed a radio in the unit since we had no phone line. The services are working fine and we like the price and month to month contract. I will update this review if anything changes.

I don't use Security One, but they call my office every single day claiming that I owe them money. I called them back and asked to be taken off their list because they have the wrong number. They told me that they can't do that. So, I have to deal with annoying pre-recorded phone calls from them every day. Sometimes multiple times a day. If they treat people who aren't their customer this badly, I can't image how they treat acutal customers. I'd avoid this company.

I had been with Security One for at least five years in two homes and recommended them to my friends and neighbors. This is a one man show (Chris) and over my last year with them I found that Chris developed a very unpleasant attitude toward me. When I called him to ask questions about my new home system which he installed he acted like I was bothering him. Then he increased the price of my service from $14.95 a month to $17.95 without telling me. It just appeared on my credit card bill. I called him and he insisted he sent me a card telling me the rates went up but I never got a card or anything to that effect just the surprise when I looked at my credit card bill. Well that was the last straw! I stayed with them a bit longer but went looking for another company and found one that is super well established in Atlanta and has great service. Not a one man operation and also has a wonderful calling center that actually calls you when alarm goes off. Plus they only charge $16.95 and give you a month free each year. I cancelled Security One in writing as well as over the phone with Chris but they continued to send me bills and insisted I send them another letter in the mail canceling service. He told me that I had to cancel the contract in writing. What contract? Really? Yes really. How absurd and abusive. The alarm is not a bad one but the company needs to improve their customer service if they want good clients. Right now cannot recommend them.

When we returned from our honeymoon, my neighbors said that my alarm went off for an hour 2 different times.The system did not contact the monitoring service, and I was never notified on my cellphone. I called the technician immediately because I was horrified that my home was unprotected for 10 days while I was out of the country. His first response was a cold, "It's not our fault. Your system must have been struck by lightning." He made no attempt to apologize for the situation, and just kept interrupting me to tell me it was MY equipment that was to blame. But he supposedly checked all the equipment when he installed it 1 month earlier. I couldn't believe that his response was so unapologetic and I knew I couldn't depend on this company, so I told him that I wanted a refund. He said that he would absolutely not refund my money. Out of sheer shock, I cursed and said that my * house could have been burglarized and he wasn't even trying to help me! He told me to "get my head straight, shut my mouth, fix it myself", then hung up! I tried to call another manager, but there is no one else! He is a one-man operation. My credit card company finally had to get him to give my back my money. Moreover, he threatened to sue me and release my personal information on here if I "lied" in a review! Nice threat from a security company, right? I have no need to embellish. It's astounding enough as it is. I just thought it right to inform the public about this company.

We just purchased a house about 8 months ago and have never had an alarm system. The house already had a Security One alarm system installed. After hearing of a couple of car break-ins and an attempted burglary across the street we figured it was time to invest in alarm monitoring. We chose Security One not only because they installed the system before but because a neighbor next door had the service for a few years and spoke well of the company. The person that came out to setup everything was very helpful and very informative. Since this was our first alarm system we had a few questions about how to use it. The person stayed and explained how to use the system very well till we felt comfortable with it. Even when calling and having questions about our service or system, the employees are very friendly. The cost of the service is a bargain.

I live in a place where I truly depend on 24 hour, seven days per week home security. Security One Services not only has provided me with effective home monitoring, but also kind, patient technical support. Furthermore, Security One provides pet friendly monitoring without loosing a reliable system. I would recommend them to anyone.

The service provided was excellent. The clean installation,the quality of the equipment, and the explanation of how the system and the monotoring center provides seemless service is excellent. My family is protected day and night 24/7. and the police and fire department will quickly respond.
The design provided for our security needs meet our security needs, the quoted price was very fair and competitive. The installation courteous and was completed on schedule.

I would like to thank you for making the task of getting an alarm system so easy. My wife and I were impressed with everybody that we dealt with at Security One; from the Security specialist who explained all of the different options - security, fire, glass break, etc., to the installers who did an excellent job installing everything. I am still impressed with the way they were able to hide all the wiring. I also like the way they took their time to show my wife and I how to use the complete system. They made it very easy to use. We were also very pleased with the easy billing and payment methods. This is our first security system and we are satisfied!! We have more piece of mind.

I have been with Security One for about 5 years. I was originally with another alarm company but after listening to a segment of the Clark Howard show I switched to Security One.They had better pricing, a local UL monitoring station, and month to month contract. I have been very happy with them and have had the same service representative all 5 years to assist with the few issues I have had, which is very nice. They are very good about promptly calling and asking if everything is ok and they are also very good at getting things fixed if something ever goes wrong. I feel secure and happy with Security One and plan to use them now and in the future.

I had been with Security One Services for over a year and have always had a hard time getting anyone to answer or return my calls. The last straw was when my alarm went off and was going off for 2 hours before anyone contacted me back to let me know what needed to be done to get it to go off as the keypad would not shut it off. I has taken me almost 4 months to get someone to contact me about my constant calls about cancelling my service and now I have been told that I have to send a 60 day notice. This is a company that I would never consider or recommend again.

The tech Chris that came out was very informative and answered all my questions. I really needed my home monitored due to the previous company just didnt care. I was even running late and he waited for me to get home. Thanks Chris

I am a single mother of 2 who needed a Security system installed in my home in Roswell ,GA. I called Security One Services and was able to talk to someone who knew something about security and asked me a few questions before giving me a quote.After researching them with the BBB and other sources I decided to have a system installed.The technicians who visited had a nice clean cut appearance and spoke clearly,I have little hearing in my left ear so it helped.After the installation the techicians cleaned up everything and showed me how to use the system.I trippd the alarm by acident the other day and got a fast return phone call from the monitoring station.I plan to refer my brother who is buying a foreclosed property to Security One.They did a good job without any sales pressure. I have been an Security One Services customer for twenty years thru two houses and three different alarm systems. I can't compliment them enough for the great service and support that they have always given. Through all of the false and real alarms, they have had a good attitude and have been very helpful and not once have I ever though about changing alarm companies and that's saying a lot these days.
