I was extremely reluctant to have a colonoscopy because I am terrified of needles. Dr. Shafi is an extremely competent physician and his staff is fabulous! The entire procedure was actually a non issue and I had no reason for any anxiety. Dr. Shafi is personable, professional and compassionate. I cannot say enough good things about him and the entire procedure.

He didn't ask me hardly anything, none of the paper work I did as a new patient asked my symptoms, he was all over the map from gallstones to ulcers to collitis - and at one point was saying colonoscopy - which made no sense as my problem is my upper right side, high next to my stomach, not my intestines. Every single person in the office that day was over at the scheduling desk for procedures (after he flew from room to room not spending much time with anyone), which are conveniently done right next store in his brand new clinic - rip off city on the insurance! They never said how much the endoscopy he wanted me to do would cost out of pocket. He gave me samples of Nexium but never said how to take it, if it would cause any side effects, etc. and then he didn't write a prescription for it. His staff was unfriendly and robotic. His new office was big, empty, cold, with weird wallpaper. I felt bad for the fish in the lobby who have to live there all the time. To say the least, he won't be doing my endoscopy (if I even need one) and I won't be going back.
