Refused to see my Doxie that was in pain at 530 pm. Said they were closed and I had to go to the er with him! I said but your door says you close at 6, she was so rude and said I don't care what the door says were closed, the doctor doesn't see anyone after 4.30!
I brought my dogs there for routine checkups. This was the first time I went there for this kind of help, I'm horrified by their receptionist and their lack of care to animals!

Dr. Zelman and his staff at Shallowford Animal Hospital are superb. My precious cat had Fibrosarcoma, and Dr. Zelman took me through a very painful and difficult journey with compassion, patience, and support. I recommend them with the highest regard.

We started taking our pets to Dr. Zellman back in 1987, and he and all of his staff have been the best. We recently have relocated to Jacksonville Florida, and definitely miss these fine folks. Dr. Zellman is very capable in addition to having great bedside manner. Anyone looking for a great Vet will be well served taking their special pet to Shallowford Animal Hospital. After we moved to Alpharetta we regularly drove 14 miles each way to bring our two cats and one dog across town to see Dr. Zellman. Sadly the 400 mile drive today is a bit too far.

I have used Shallowford Animal Hospital for 16 years and I can honestly say they deserve more than the 5 stars posted for the level of service you get from the Vets and their staff. I see Dr. Reilly primarily and love her but have seen Dr. Zelman and Dr. Toner on several occasions when Dr. Reilly wasn't available and they both were great as well.

Shallowford has been my vet of choice for over 3 years. They are caring, compassionate, and willing to work with you. They will talk you through everything until YOU are comfortable and YOUR PET is on the road to recovery! I trust them completely, and wouldn't go anywhere else!!!

Dr. Reily had been a wonderful advocate for my dog. She boarded there when I had to go out of town and everyone at Shallowford Animal Hospital took amazing care of my sensitive dog. I would recommend Dr. Reily to all owners who love their pets like their own children. She is professional and all about the pets! Thank you! All of the staff and doctors really care about animals! I will not go anywhere else.

We have lived in the East Cobb area for over 30 years. We've used a few different vets but starting bringing our dog to Dr. Zelman a year or so ago. What a breath of fresh air! Dr. Zelman truly cares about the welfare of our pet but is also mindful of keeping expenses down (so many vets will go to the most expensive option possible right away). The staff is wonderful and sweet always with a smile and a kind word for us and our girl. We always see Dr. Zelman but have heard Dr. Riley is wonderful too! We wouldn't hesitate to recommend Shallowford Animal Hospital.

My little Maggie was limping and I couldn't afford to take her to her regular vet so I called around and found this place. They were knowledgeable and friendly on the phone, and gave the best rates. We got there and they took care of my little Maggie and didn't charge nearly what they should have. I can't explain how wonderful they were! I need more heartworm meds and I called to ask for a written Rx which they happily provided. My last vet never allowed this. Not going anywhere else now!

Simply amazing. I gave 5 stars in the rating of Dr. Riley and the staff because I could not give them 6 stars (or higher). Great people, very down to earth. Would not trust anyone else with the care of our animals.

The vets, techs, and front desk staff are all the best. Everyone is so caring and enthusiastic. They really take the time out for each client. I have received nothing but the best care for our pets since we have brought them in for visits. We board our cat here when we find ourselves having to leave town, and she receives so much attention and love while she is there. I can't say enough great things about this place.

It started with Lucky in 1997. Purchased from the Cobb County shelter, our eight week old puppy had a severe intestinal problem. Dr. Megan was caring, compassionate and helpful. She explained that his care could get expensive, and we went ahead with the treatment. Lucky has been with us for 14 years now and we added his "sister" Chi seven years ago. I would never consider another vet practice. They are the absolute best. Drs. Reynolds and Zelman are as good as Dr. Riley and I love them all and more importantly, my dogs do too.

We moved to Georgia in 95' and have been using Shallowford Animal Hospital ever since. When we arrived we had 1 cat and now have 5. Three of the 5 were adopted from Shallowford - all of them get the best of care from the doctors and staff. The doctors have given me guidance in good and difficult situations and the staff is always friendly and supportive. I can not possible give everyone at Shallowford Animal Hospital enough praise - THEY ARE THE BEST!!!

We've been using Shallowford Animal Hospital for our dogs since 1992. Whether it's a critical emergency, annual check-ups, or final days, they are knowledgeable, caring and incredibly sympathetic. We feel so strongly about their quality care even my son brings his Aussie up from Midtown for care by Dr. Riley and the staff.
