This place gets packed fast. Going at peak times is rather difficult. The menu offers a lot of typical dishes of a pizzeria. However, nothing jumps up to induce your taste buds. I had a vegan friendly pizza with lots of veggies. There was nothing special to it. No pizazz from my pizza. If one of your friends wants to get some pizza and you are in the Toco Hills area you might want to check Shorty's. Yet, there is a Mellow Mushroom down the street with better tasting pizza.

I love the Shorty's in Tucker, and can't say enough good things about it. But the poor service that my daughter and I received at the Toco Hills location at lunch today was such that the next time I go, I'll drive an extra few miles to Tucker. Our server did allow us time to make a decision and served our food timely and as ordered. Then he promptly disappeared to roll silverware and do dishes, meaning he was not waiting tables the entire time because they weren't that busy. I had to stop another server for refills and when we were ready to leave, I had to get up from the table and ask for service so I could pay our check. I had already allowed time for our server to seat a large party that had arrived for lunch, and even though he walked past us several times, he completely ignored us until the other employee fetched him to get our check. There was not even a ghost of an apology for the long wait. Even though our food was delicious, I'll not go there again, and I am very sorry to say that.

Shorty's has the best pizza that I have had since moving to Atlanta. Pizza is always fresh and hot. It is a great thin crust pizza. There are TONS of toppings available, some that I never would have thought to put on a pizza. Prices for toppings are clearly marked as well. They also have some strange sounding but delicious sandwiches and salads. Prices are reasonable. The place is a little small but is worth the wait.

The place is pretty tiny, so opt for an outside table if you can. Inside, it's not much wider than a hallway. They have some creative pizza concoctions. The best part is dessert. Homemade chocolate chip cookies served hot on a pizza pan with homemade whipped cream. To die for.

There are not too many places where you can go out for pizza with some buddies, or take a date to impress. Shorty's has everything. The pizza is awesome, but their specialty dishes are great too. I recommend the Fish of the day cooked in parchment paper. Great selection of beers as well.
