As mentioned in previous reviews, the "customer service" here is non-existent and it's a shame that Showcase is the only game in town because they sure don't value or appreciate their customer. I have to pick up some lighting equipment today and I physically dread having to go in this place, not to mention giving them my money which is never appreciated by the snooty, snobby and just plain rude staff... You are much better off buying stuff online from B&H, Alien Bees or anywhere else than having to pay for the privilege of being treated like dirt by a bunch of clerks who will either act like you're invisible or an amateur because you don't own a Hasselblad...

I have to agreed with 2 of the other reviewers. this is one of those places where as long as you know what you need and just want to get it and go, GREAT! but god forbid if you need help. again, this is one of those places where the reps cater to their "regulars". if it's your 1st time, forget about any real help. ESPECIALLY on the weekends. Just go to browse, get what you want and be on your way. Because the selection is great here. Just forget about the people side of their business. They really don't care or plan to change how they treat their patrons.

I was spoiled by having a top notch camera shop near me when I lived in Seattle. When I moved to Atlanta everyone told me Showcase is the place to go. Sadly, they are right. I really haven't found a better option. This is the only reason my overall rating wasn't lower. The prices are about the same as anywhere else. I'm usually disappointed by the selection and they always seem to be understaffed.

Upon calling Showcase for questions on enlargements/scanning of medium format film I was tossed from person to person finally getting someone who was exceptionally rude stating that they were waiting on customers (like I was not) when I asked about timing she said they couldn't get to it because they were dealing with Christmas. They obviously don't need the business.

Not unfriendly...RUDE. I had problems loading the expensive film I purchased into a medium format camera that I was learning how to use. So, I went to Showcase, where I purchased the film to get help. Not only was the woman who waited on me unhelpful, but she gave me incorrect information while acting as though she couldn't get rid of me fast enough. Apparently, she doesn't appreciate customers asking questions that she doesn't know the answer to. I once worked at a camera store, and I would never have treated a customer the way this lady treated me. I won't be doing business with Showcase again.
