I had a scratch in my eye from a stupid accident. Dr. Shuster took me right in and took me out of pain immediately. The follow up was thorough with detailed exam and the end result is I am back at work. Next week I will be healed enough to go back and get some hot glasses.

I have been seeing Dr. Schuster for four years and have been very pleased. It's a small practice with personal care. Recently my 3 year old injured his eye on a Saturday morning. I paged Dr. Schuster b/c I did not know what to do - he told me to bring my son to his office immediately and met us there. He came back for a follow up appointment on Sunday morning as well. That kind of personal care speaks volumes for me - I'll never go anywhere else.

I switched to this place because it's close to work. The contact lenses and glasses were more than twice more expensive than the place I used to go to. So I decided not to buy anything from them and just wanted to get my prescription. They obviously were not happy about it. They gave me a prescription which was expired the day before I got my eye exam done and without doctor's signature. Also, they told me to wear Acuvue Oasys, but they wrote Advance on my prescription. They totally did it on purpose.

Dr. Shuster was very thorough and the vision was terrific. He explained things thoroughly and enjoyed my experience at the practice. He seems very caring and staff was wonderful. First class treatment.

About 2 years ago, I visited this office for new contacts. One of the young front desk attendants made an error ordering contacts and he laid into her hard. He called her names, belittled her and her work, and was overall extremely unprofessional. It made me very uncomfortable and the girl was visibly upset (and sniffling while holding back tears). I don't think the doctor realizes how thin the walls are. Then, I had to deal with her teary and shaky while she tried to help me with the new contacts. Ugh. I regret not saying something before I left that day.

Second, I find his bedside manner appalling. He's up there with the fictional "Dr. House" on television. Tends to ignore my concerns which led to an eye infection in my case (that he did treat). His wait and see attitude irritates me because I didn't want to wait and see if my eye irritation got worse If I call doctor on Thursday with some serious irritation, I don't want to wait and see that my eyes are glued shut the next day.

Needless to say, I won't be returning....
