Avoid and Save Yourself Heartburn, 7/02/2010

A 250 word limit by this site will not give me anywhere near the words needed to describe the unprofessional conduct of one of their technicians. We called this outfit because our warranty company... gave them a reference as a local source for service. Pleasant young lady said that Tom might be available and we should hear by 3 pm. We called back and said would be out doing errands a gave a cell number and that the owner would not be at home due to no cooling. Tom calls and says he is 5 minutes out. Told him we would be at least 20 minutes. He said OK. We got there and no one was around. OK, we understand a lot of people need AC work today. He calls a couple of times and we tell him we are 5 minutes away. We get to the house and still no one there. Tom finally calls and asks for the lot number (needed info to find the house...duh!) He finally calls (while we are at the house) and says other people need service and he can't wait any more, so call someone else! I do not believe Tom ever came near the property because we spent a lot of time in the un-cooled house while he was supposed to be there or at least in the vicinity. I wished he had of shown up. I would have loved to outline the unprofessional conduct we experienced to the BBB and ROC, because I don't think Tom could have performed a competent or professional service based on his unprofessional and rude actions on the phone.
