A story I read online about Singing Hills Memorial Park noted a change in management a few months ago. The park is even more beautiful than before, and the new staff, judging from my visits, seems far more responsive and concerned than the family that ran things there previously.

As you can see from Mr. March's response back, he just does not get it. I almost feel sorry for him, I think he means well, but he just does not see himself in the same light as those that he serves. Running over loved one's markers with his golf cart. Or the tractor tire marks running over the same places again and again. I feel sorry for those that have loved ones in that area. He just does not understand. And if you complain to him, he gets very defensive.

I had an unexpected death in my family. The people at Singing Hills were compassionate, considerate, and reassuring to me. The park is a place where I feel comfortable taking a chair to sit under one of the trees near my loved one's grave. It is peaceful and makes my visit not something to dread. All you see is a field of flowers and you hear the many chimes people have placed in the trees over the years. The maintenance workers are helpful and give you your space to grieve. It's also in a good location: nestled in the hills on Dehesa Road across from the golf course. Thank you, Singing Hills.
