Better that a Subaru Dealership, 3/30/2015

I've been using Six Star Service for over 5 years and wouldn't use a dealership again. Dependable, accurate and professional with a neighborhood feel !


Happy we found these guys, 3/24/2015

We are pleased by the attitude and professional service of Six Star Service; they have exceeded our expectations in servicing our two Subarus. With a previous dealer shop we encountered "add-ons"... that seemed to be required, even when there for a oil change. We trust the Six Star staff to shoot straight with us.

I'm impressed

Brought my eleven year old Forester in for the 90k major service plus timing belt. I also asked them to look at two problems. Both issues they fixed for less than they quoted (heck I wouldn't have known). They also fixed two issues I didn't even tell them about. One of which I had taken it to multiple shops over the years and had given up as unfixable. The other was another shop's shoddy work that I had planned to take back for them to correct. Literally sitting here with a smile on my face. It was so refreshing to talk to people who know the Subaru so well. Next time I have a problem I know where I'm going.

Better than the dealership

I have been taking my 2012 WRX to Six Star Service for several years after having multiple issues with the dealer. Six Star has always performed maintenance in a timely manner and their prices seem more competitive than the dealership.

Easy to get a simple thing repaired

Took my Outback to them to have the tire pressure sensor replaced. They replaced it in less than an hour while I waited. Shop is clean and the crew seems very knowledgeable. I'll definitely take my car back here for more complex repair issues if I need to (as well as simple oil changes). Lot less hassle than the dealership.

Disappointing customer service

I initially brought my car to Six Star in June where they performed multiple services at their old location on College Ave. They told me that I needed a new rear differential and that they would look for one for me. They never got back to me about it. I assumed my need got lost when they moved to the new location on E Ponce de Leon. Fast forward to August and I started having problems again with my car, I took it to them to see if it was the rear differential or if it was something else. They said (again) that it was the rear differential and that they would find one, order it and call me the next day. They never called me. I went out of town and when I returned (on a Thursday) I called and they said that they would order it and then call me early the next week when it arrived to schedule the service. They never called me back. I began to call each week to find out what was going on and each time I was told that they didn't know where the part was, but that they would check on it and call me the next day. I understand that parts can take a while to arrive, but I felt like the fact that I was constantly being told that they did not know what was going on was unsettling. You can only be told "I don't know" so many times before you lose confidence. I gave up on Six Star and went to the Subaru Dealer for service. They replaced my rear differential for LESS than what Six Star quoted as the price.

Transparency and accessibility are something we constantly strive for with each and every customer. Unfortunately, we did indeed drop the ball in this situation and offer our sincere apologies. The customer expressed interest in finding a used part for his vehicle but in our quest to find a quality used part we could stand behind we neglected to communicate on a timely basis. In our defense, had the customer stated he would have been willing to purchase a new Subaru differential, the part would have been ordered received and completed in 2 days.

Saved me $$$!

After a repair chain quoted me a high price, I decided bring my Subaru to Six Star Service. I previously owned a Toyota, and was happy with the service my local Toyota shop provided, so why not try a Subaru specialist now that I have a Subaru? Six Star provided an inexpensive repair, and didn't have to replace parts like the chain store wanted to. Will take my car here from now on.

Nice job guys

Took my STI to Six Star for A/C work, 7500 mile service and reattaching an aftermarket front spoiler. All done in just one stop, quickly, effectively and with good pricing. It's rare to fast, good AND inexpensive.

Excellent Quality and Service!

We've been using Six Star Service exclusively for our Subaru since we purchased the car and have never been disappointed. The staff is friendly and there is a comfortable, beautiful waiting area. I would trust them every time.

Best car repair shop ever

This business is excellent. The personnel are friendly and informed. They clearly explain the nature of any needed repair and do not do unnecessary repairs. You can trust what they say. They are a pleasure to work with.

Excellent service, fair pricing and no unnecessary maintenance recommended. If you want to waste money then go to a dealer.. If not this place is where you take your car.

no more dealership

Had recent service on 4/2/14. Wife has 2006 Subaru Tribeca. Vehicle had a break issue we thought but the guys at Six Star advised the breaks were good and we only needed to machined the rotors. $106.80 out the door. Plus a set of wipers which the dealer was charging $89.99. I am never going back.

Glad I Found Them

Took my college bound son's Subaru in for inspection and to fix air conditioning and leak in headliner. They told me exactly what needed to be done and why, and prices on repairs that were not needed yet, but were needed in the future. Very up front and honest.
