Dr. Skardasis took the time to speak with me and to understand the problems I was having. He was able to diagnose my problem where numerous doctors over the past 25 years were not able to. I highly recommend him as he is my new hero!

Dr Scardasis is a wonderful doctor. I drive quite a bit to see him after finding him here originally because he is that far ahead of others. Warning, though: The front office staff is not always as superior. I have had a very difficult time getting refills called in, getting through with a question, getting calls answered, getting calls returned from a message, etc. Everyone I speak with is pleasant but there does seem to be some organizational disconnect. I have considered leaving, but stayed because Dr Scardasis is such an excellent physician and I actually trust him. I do wish there'd be some work on the front office organizational front though. (I doubt it is any one person's fault, but the way it is setup, though of course I do not know.) It is nice to get through to a human being and get an answer or an idea when you'll have your answer!

You say you get to know your patient's work, hobbies, family...and that "maybe I quickly forgot"...I don't think so! That never happened...nor did a thorough physical happen...maybe YOU quickly forgot. As to your stating "not really fair or helpful to other readers", I think it was extremely helpful to other readers as these are the qualities I would look for when seeking an excellent doctor. I am hardly "trying to smear your reputation" as you stated, but merely stating what did or did not take place at my appointment. And as far as you saying I should have called to speak to you "person to person"...why would I when I was in your office trying to speak to you "person to person" and did not have your attention. I have a lot of respect for excellent doctors but you do not fall into that category!

I am sorry that you had such a bad experience. I want to apologize if you felt rushed. I am not sure who you are , but during the time period my partner was on vacation and I was trying to accommodate his sick patients as well. I strive to get to know all of my patients not just their medical problems but as indivuals as well. I take the time to get to know their work, hobbies and family in addition to a doing a detailed medical history. I am sure I did this with you. Maybe you quickly forgot. Not a great doctor! Wow, those are strong words after only seeing me once. A one star review across the board! I would have to say not really fair and not very helpful to other readers. Instead of trying to smear my reputation, why not put a little more thought into your review or at least call and speak with me person to person. I wish you all the best with your next doctor.
I've been to several physicians since I moved to Woodstock 11 years ago. I had a doctor I really liked where I lived previously and had not found anyone like him since. After one appointment in Dr. Skardasis's office, I believe I may have found a doctor that I can trust to actually try to delve into problems rather than just prescribing the latest tests and medications. The office visit was very efficient. Not rushed, just efficient. I went in at the time my appointment was scheduled, the nurse took care of the vitals and screening. I spent less than five (5) minutes waiting for Dr. Skardasis who spent more time with me than I had expected. In all, I had a first appointment screening (blood pressure, temperature, allergies, problems, etc.), physical, two (2) vaccines, EKG, blood work and was out in under an hour. Refreshing to have a doctor that seems to take an interest, not feel like he has more important things to do and still be in and out in a relatively short amount of time. While I hate to write a great review 'cause I'd hate to see his practice get too busy, but he's is what medical practitioners should be like.

My husband and I have been going to Dr. Skardasis for years. However, recently, I was sent for an ultrasound regarding abdominal pain. After the ultrasound, I got a call from the nurse stating that there were gallstones and I needed to have my gallbladder removed, here's the surgical center to call (never even had me in his office to explain anything). Well, the surgical center wasn't accepted by my insurance, and after repeated calls and emails, no one in Dr. Skardasis' office seemed to be able to help me find a surgeon, hospital, etc. I really was disappointed in the lack of help and caring, since, in my opinion surgery, no matter how minor, is an important decision. Will certainly find a new doctor that actually cares about his patients. **UPDATE** Dr. Skardasis called and apologized about all of this, which I thought was a really classy thing to do.

I want to apologize for truly letting this patient down. She did not get the proper attention from me she deserved. I have made steps in correcting the way we handle this in our office so it will not happen to other patients in the future.
I'm glad to have found Dr. Skardasis. He's an "extraordinary" Physician, Emory educated, Board Certified, he has excellent skills as a diagnostician. He is very interested in assisting his patients providing us with excellent care and resources to treat our conditions. In my case, I've had a sleep disorder for 4 years, treated by a Psyciatrist who prescribed an addictive medication which didn't help. On my 1st visit, he precribed a different, not addictive, medication and I was able to "sleep like a baby". His office and Staff are great too!!!!

Dr. Skardasis has been my doctor for several years since a friend recommended him. From the first visit he listened to me and made appropriate diagnoses according to my conditions. He even knew when it was time to refer me to a specialist instead of thinking he could manage an issue outside of his area of expertise like another provider of mine did in the past. I have always enjoyed going to his office since the staff there are also very friendly and helpful. Kudos to Dr. Skardasis and his team for providing excellent healthcare!

I liked Michael a lot! The very first visit, put me at ease. He's friendly. He talks to you, not at you. Dr. Skardasis is a people person who's very good at his job. Im very confident in his skill, and, abilities. I followed doctor's orders, and, I was Great! He was my doctor at THE KAUFMANN CLINIC. Once he left, I missed him a lot! Michael Skardasis is a Great Doctor! I'd recommend him to everybody! Valerie Thelma Griffin email@example.com

I would like to thank Dr. Skardasis for opening himself up to review. It shows a commitment to transparency and open interaction that many doctors fear to make. The medical profession as a whole could learn from his example. Patients need more physicians like him: reflective, thoughtful, and personally engaged with the people in his care. He has overseen many positive improvements in my health since I began seeing him last year. My husband is also a patient and loves him!

My husband went to Dr. Skardasis with a gastro problem that has plagued him for quite a number of years. He said that Dr. S. listened, had two simple tests run and sure enough, one was positive. He is now on antibiotics and on the road to recovery. We are thinking about using this group as our primary as we are new to Georgia.

Dr. Skardasis and his staff have been wonderful. My wife and I are both very grateful that we have chosen this group to be our primary medical office. They provide great service and are efficient in helping patients return to health. Thank you for your dedication and commitment !!!! We appreciate you more than words can say. A caring Dr. & staff mean so much to a patient looking for answers.

I have been a patient of Dr. Skardasis' for several years, going for yearly physicals, which include labs and bone density testing. Dr. Skardasis has been patient, attentive, and knowledgeable. I was diagnosed with breast cancer 2 years ago and he sent me a personal, handwritten note after he heard about my diagnosis encouraging me in my battle. I thought this was a very kind gesture from a Doctor that I only see on a yearly basis for labs and physicals. He has also taken time during exams to inquire of my family and ask about a book I may be reading or some other interest of mine.
