Dentistry is an exciting and rewarding profession. The most rewarding aspect is the understanding that we treat people not just teeth. I strive to provide high quality comprehensive dental care, placing an emphasis on not only the durability and functionality of the treatment, but also on the cosmetic possibilities. With advancements in materials, technology and procedures, it is now possible to deliver beautiful results as never before.

It is imperative to consider all the intricate factors associated with the preservation and restoration of the smile, teeth, mouth and jaws. I believe it is my obligation to inform each person of all their dental needs whether obvious or not, so the patient may be involved in their treatment decisions.

Solving complex dental problems requires an understanding of the cause. Solving the causes before the problem develops is our goal. My advanced training and knowledge in implant dentistry and of cosmetics allows me to add another dimension to the thoroughness in prevention and treatment options provided to patients of all ages.



Doctor Robert D. Woods has been in private practice for twenty years. A residency program in Advanced Education in General Dentistry at Emory University brought Dr. Woods to Atlanta from Oklahoma. Dr. Woods received his dental education at the University Of Oklahoma College Of Dentistry. Graduating with honors, Dr. Woods continues his education in the newest advancements in cosmetic, reconstructive and implant dentistry by regularly attending continuing education seminars, conferences, study-club meetings and subscribing to numerous dental journals. Dr. Woods has gained certification in numerous dental implant systems and has completed a one-year mini-residency in advanced implant dentistry sponsored by the Medical College of Georgia and is an Associate Fellow in the American Academy of Implant dentistry. He is also a member of the American Dental Association, The Georgia Dental Association, The Northern District Dental Society, The Academy of General Dentistry and the American Academy of Implant Dentistry.
