I read reviews about this kennel and then went for a visit before I'd leave my dog here. I have never seen a kennel so clean! They took such amazing care of my Winston, he didn't want to leave when I came to pick him up! These ladies really love your pets! My dogs can't wait to get out of the car when we pull up!

Smith Farms boarding kennel is the only place we board our dog. The care and experience they give her is exceptional! We have a great vacation and so does our dog. She gets excited when we enter the driveway and loves the playtime with other dogs. If I could give them more than 5 stars I would.

My spoiled Shih Tzu loves Smith Farms. They take such good care of him and he's exhausted when he returns home. They are very clean have always been pleasant. As soon we hit the driveway to go to "The Resort" my dog is jumping around in the car full of excitement and it makes me feel good to know that. He doesn't even tell me bye when I drop him off *sniffle*, he's ready to go play and socialize, but I know that he's being well cared for while I'm gone if not better than he is when he's home. The owner's are fabulous and I love the excellent friendly service they provide to the animals.

DO NOT USE THIS KENNEL. The owners are arrogant, rude and do not honor their agreements. We dropped our dog off on a Sat. and specifically asked one of the owners if it would be allright if we picked him up on our way home from the airport the next Fri. Gave her the time we should arrive and also asked if we would have to pay for an additional day since it should only be 10 - 20 minutes past the cutoff time for departures. She assured us this would not be a problem to pick him up and we wouldn't be charged for an additional day. We arrived at 12:10, no one answered the bell. We waited for 15 minutes then left a note on the door. We went to lunch thinking the owners might be on break as well, came back 1 hour later. Rang the bell again, still no response at the kennel door. My husband went up to their house to see if everything was allright and was treated VERY rudely - told to come back at 5:00 and then had the door shut in his face. He came down to the kennel to pick me up, telling me we had to come back at 5:00. While picking me up, the two owners stomped down to the kennel and proceeded to bless us out. When I reminded the same owner who agreed to let us pick him up on our way home of our conversation, she continued to be rude and then charged us for an additional day.

Having our residence on the same property as our kennel business is a challenge. Most of our clients respect our privacy and understand that kennel business is conducted at the Kennel office. Our hours are published on our website, available in print in the kennel office, as well as on our answering machine. We own and operate our Kennel, personally taking care of our clients beloved pets. Due to our ridged schedule, and the fact that we work 7 days a week, we adhere strictly to those hours. We gladly accomodate after hours drop off or pickup for a service fee, also published. If an appointment had been arranged, the confusion could have been eliminated. As it was, we were at the kennel 30 minutes after closing time. We appreciate the time that you have taken to post this review and have since initiated a policy of making after hours appointments in writing.
This is a very nice place, with professional, knowledgeable staff, at a reasonable rate. I feel good leaving my dogs here. I sometimes don't get a return email or phone call when I leave a message (about a change in bath request, or whatever), but other than that, it's great.

Smith Farms is outstanding..My family has used them over and over. They are caring, concerned and dilligent in everything they do. The dogs come back in excellent condition and tired which is great because you know they are exercised and not in a kennel all week-end. Their delivery service is great too when you cannot take your "babies" because it is out from town but well worth it.

We checked out every boarding facility with 50 miles of home before we found Smith Farms. It is the only kennel at which we felt comfortable leaving our 13 year old beloved and spoiled pom a poos. They exceeded our expectations and we would never leave our babies anywhere else. The setting is beautiful, the kennels are clean and spacious and the caretaking is exceptional. As professional pet caretakers ourselves, we recogize a gem. We absolutely recommend them to everyone.

A great kennel; I especially love that have a pickup service. When I tell my dog she's going to "The Farm" she waits by the door for "The Bus." Super caring folks who love dogs and run a great pet boarding business. They are efficient and friendly with people too!
