The mission of Smyrna Eye Group, P.C. is to provide the highest quality eye care in a warm and friendly environment. We perform comprehensive eye examinations to determine your correction and assist you in selecting the right eyeglasses or contact lenses to fit your needs. In addition, we offer medical treatment for eye infections, injuries and diseases. Our doctors have the experience and knowledge you need for EXCELLENCE IN EYECARE.
I have been a patient of Smyrna Eye Group since moving to the area 2 years ago. Dr. Harper is an outstanding doctor and is these best that I have used. He is thorough and has attention to detail and takes time to answer any questions that you may have. Appointments start on time and this office realizes the value of your time and gets you in and out very efficently. Glasses can be a bit pricy but contacts are priced reasonably. Much better than eye doctors that I have used in the past.

Beware Hidden Costs! When I walked in I was very impressed with their new office. Exam went well, but it was at check out that I decided I won't be returning to Smyrna Eye Group. The eye exam will run you $125, but if you wear contacts it's another $55.00. If you wear touric contacts it's another $55.00. If you go for the optomap it's another $30.00. All in all my exam cost over $300 bucks! I was extremely disappointed that they charged me $110.00 for a contact lens "fitting" even though I have been wearing contacts for 20 years, and tourics for 5. When I questioned the charge I was told that because I was a new patient I would have to pay for this fitting, even though I was prescribed the exact same lenses I walked in with. Further frustrating was the fact that they gave me two different samples because they didn't have the correct lens for my right eye. So I had to pay for a fitting that wasn't even done correctly? I will not be returning to Smyrna Eye Group.

This office has a comfortable setting, knowledgeable and friendly staff members who along with the doctors put you at ease for your exam and fittings. All questions are answered to you satifaction and I appreciate the timeliness of the follow-up calls to check on the comfort of your lenses. I am also impressed that this office was one of the first in Georgia that offered Optomap in place of dilation. Sure, insurance does not pay for it, but it's extremely convenient and your doctor can see a much larger area of your retina to check on eye health! You may find lower prices elsewhere but not better service. For that I gladly drive across town every year for my eye exam!
