I drove home from a family vacation 5/17/2015 to no running water. Weekend options were limited. SolvIt came out right away. Plumber went through diagnostics and reported that I needed a new well pump, quote $3,308.15. I was also told that it was possible my well was on way out and I could get a protection device for new pump, quote $653.60. I setup the job for Sunday morning. I also called a local guy. Remarkably, he actually called me back on Sunday morning 90 before my scheduled SolvIt appointment. He said he could new pump for $1,500, but couldn't do it until Monday. I cancelled SolvIt and told him to come Monday. He showed up, did diagnostics and said it wasn't pump, but merely a broken wire to pump. He lives around the corner and knows the area very well. He informed me, "The wells in this area are all really good. I would be very surprised if the well is bad." He pulled the pump up, replaced wire and got my water working for a fraction of the cost SolvIt was going to charge me for something I didn't need. He charged labor and that was all. I dodged an almost $4K SolvIt bullet. Based on my experience, I would never call/use SolvIt again. I would go without water for a week or two now that I know how uncompetively priced SolvIt is. Don't be lazy like I almost was and get a few quotes. You'll find how overpriced SolvIt is. Unless you have money to burn or can't wait a day or two, take extra time to find reputable local plumber who knows the area and will be much less.

A/C tune-up and service. Outstanding service across the board. Matt, came to my house and did a thorough inspection of system, cleaned up what needed to be done, and made recommendations on what needed to be done. He also got me to sign up for the Home Protection Plan offered by Solvit. Which is a no-brainer if you own a home. I thought there pricing was excellent based on the level of service and quality of the job. I will be using Solvit for all my home repair/installion needs in future for sure.

I was getting water backed up in my basement after it rained for days. Not knowing much about these problems I decided to look up businesses in the phone book. The first business I called said ti would be several days before they could get someone out to my home. I then saw Solvit's information and decided to give them a try. They were a local and reputable company. The first thing that sold me was the outstanding service. The service representative was both polite and informative and was able to send a tech out the same day. The technician did a very thorough inspection and gave me great information and options. Based on my experience I would recommend them to all of my friends and family.
I needed some electrical work done and called Solvit. The technician was very knowlegeable, polite and even showed me other things in my home that needed to be updated. Their prices are very reasonable and the service is great! I will certainly use Solvit again.
Shortly after moving into my new home I started noticing build up on my shower head and on the tile floor in my shower, and white spots on my dishes. I was really tired of scrubbing the shower every day and trying to get the spots off of my dishes so I called Solvit. The girls that answer the phones there were very friendly and knowledgeable. They explained a technician would have to come out and test my water and then he would let me know what type of unit would suit my needs. I scheduled an appointment and Brian came out and tested my water. He found I do indeed have hard water and needed a softener. He was able to get it installed relatively quickly and it was a life saver! I no longer have to spend hours scrubbing my shower. I couldn't have been happier with Brian, he was neat and very professional. I would call them again in a heartbeat.
The Service is good but this company severely overcharges for its services. I called this company to change two water valves. After all the work, paperwork & processing of the credit card was done the technician was at the house for a total of 2 hours. The cost, after senior discount was over $820! Even if the valves cost $100, these people are charging $360 an hour. Reply to solvit: Another reason to stay away from this company, they will publish your name and address online if you give them a negative review. Not to mention after taking time to complain you may get a refund but you will still have to pay $250 an hour!

Let me start by saying that SolvIt takes pride in offering its customers 100% customer satisfaction and stand behind our work with the best warrantees in the business. On 9/4/12 we received a call from the customer who needed plumbing repairs done at her home. The customer requested her main shut off valve to her home be repaired or replaced since it was not working. SolvIt dispatched a licensed plumber to her home quickly. Our plumber (Jerry) reviewed the job and cost with her before starting the work. Jerry recommended replacing both the main shut off valve before and after the water meter to facilitate ease of service. After the estimate for the repairs totaling $821.00 was reviewed and accepted by the customer, the shut off valves were removed, and all necessary fittings and replacement valves were installed. The plumber did offer a service agreement to the customer that would have reduced the price to complete the repairs to $612.58, but this was declined. Jerry also extended a senior discount on his invoice.
In response, we used pricing directly from our standardized price book and stand by our pricing. We train our technicians to review all repair and replacement options before starting any work, as indicated by Jerry's work order. We did offer the service agreement that would have discounted the price of the needed repairs by $200.00. When the son of the customer called in to our office to dispute the cost of repairs the customer's home, we explained to him that we provide 100% customer satisfaction and extended a refund of $221.00. The discount was accepted by the customer and her son and a refund check was mailed on 9/18/12.
I came home one Friday night after work, to the typical Friday night routine of making dinner and doing dishes. I was in the middle of doing my dishes and I noticed that my sink was starting to back up with water . So naturally I thought that something was in the garbage disposal, so I reached my hand over to the switch on my counter to turn it on. To my surprise , the water level in my sink started to get worse , it was almost like the disposal was clogged or possibly just wasn't working right for whatever reason. As I have a sink full of dirty dishes and water filling up into my sink the only thing I could think of was that I was having company over the following night. How could I let them into my house with this happening , and how would i explain to them that the dinner I was going to cook turned into going out to dinner at our cost instead! My husband came over and tried to look at what was happening. However, nothing is ever as easy as it seems, he could not get the end of the pipe open. The people who built the house , glued the cover of the L shape pipe and we did not have the tools to open it.I called Solv-it the following morning and they came right out! They were very nice, and explained to us how to prevent this from happening again.

I came home in tears because my basement was back up with almost a foot of water. It was a Saturday night and the two other companies that I called could not get a tech out soon enough. I called Solvit and the representative who answered was so reassuring and polite and dispatched an on call tech who came right out to my house within the hour. The technician who arrived was very personable and professional and solved my problem in less than an hour. It has been more than a week and my basement has not had any water thanks to Solvit and the new sump pump they put in for me. I am very grateful for their service and assistance and will trust them with all of my future services.

The main drain in my house was clogged at a joint in my house. SolvIt was timely in arriving, but diagnosed the problem as a clog in the main line from the house to the street. He then told me it would cost $678 to snake the main line and pour enzymes in the drain. I told him I will wait for the plumber who will snake a main line for $155 and not ask me to pay for "enzymes" that will flush right into the sewer.

The drain cleaning quote you received comes with a full one year warranty and Bio-1 drain treatment. We offer service agreement plans that would have dropped the price to perform the service to $460.00. Bio-1 is an environmentally friendly product that we offer to all customers and is not just simply poured down the drain and flushed away. Without the application of the drain treatment we cannot offer the full one year warranty. We are a flat rate company and with our warranties feel we offer a far superior service. Please feel free to call me anytime to discuss your drain issues at your home.
We recently purchased a new house where they had used Solv It for their water softening system. The unit had an error message so we called Solv it to have it serviced. After servicing the water softener and clearing the error he said he had some "bad news." The tank that holds and distributes the calcite was bad and needed to be replaced. He said we had to replace it right away or we'd get pinhole leaks in the copper. $2600. Then the following week the error message comes back on the water softening system. Again, he had some "bad news" The tank that was fine last week is no good and needs to be replaced. $2200 with the discount for being "good customers" aka suckers! We got the same, you should fix it right away routine, but this time I called for a second opinion. I had the problem fixed from the second company for $500. I was also told that the problem Solv It charged me $2,600 to fix would have been half that price had he done it. Expensive lesson learned for these new homeowners! Re to Solvit: If you consider 30% more "very similar" yes that is true. He also said his recommendation would be to replace the whole system for 3X more which the person who I went with said was not necessary. You also failed to respond to the fact that the initial repair was outrageously overpriced at $2,600.

I would like to express to you that we value our customers and stand behind our work, and offer 100% customer satisfaction. After reviewing the work orders for your service, I see that our technician also offered a repair of the unit for $700.The tech also left a quote to replace the unit in its entirety for $2400.We did perform the evaluation at no charge and you declined all quotes.I hope your water treatment issues at your home have been resolved and appreciate your business. Please feel free to contact us to discuss your concerns.
Just had Demitrias M. out here for plumbing issues. One problem was easily remedied - a leaky faucet. We've also had a strange noise for several months which two other people haven't been able to figure out. Demitrius listened and was very thorough in determining possible causes. I will definitley request Demitrias for any future plumbing issues.

I recently called Solvit when I heard that my neighborhood had high levels of Radon found in several homes. I looked online for Radon testing company's and saw Solvit listed. I called the toll free number and spoke with a nice representative that answered the phone. She set me up with an appointment for testing. I received a great deal and had both air and water testing done. The technician that came to our home took the time to go over what Radon does and also the effects of it. I had no idea that it is one of the leading causes of lung cancer in the US! After my test results came in, Solvit called, emailed me a copy and took the time to explain them too me. I like my neighbor's had high Radon levels, Solvit sent a technician back to my home at no cost to review the mitigation system that would work best for my home. They even credited the cost of the test towards my system!! I want to thank to staff at Solvit for all of their help and will use them for everything now!! They will be here soon for my air conditioning maintenance and much more!!

I was having a problem with my well, the water was starting to smell and I was truly concerned, with my children drinking the water or even bathe in it. After talking to a friend, they recommended Solvit. To my surprise, Georgeanne who answered the phone was just as concerned about it as I was. Solvit sent a water technician Sam out to my home that day! Sam went through my entire well, tested the water for bacteria and Radon. He reassured me that they would have my water safe in no time. He was right, when the test results came back they emailed them over to me and called me. I had high levels of Ecoli in the well, Sam came right back out and shocked the well. He went over everything with me, when it was safe to use the water, even when I can do wash without risk of ruining my clothes. I am pleased that they informed me about the dangers of Radon and offered the test. We accepted to have the well and air tested for it. To our surprise we have dangerously high levels in our home, Solvit explained the ways to take care of it and even credited the cost of my testing towards my new mitigation system. Thank you Solvit!! You have made my home safe, my family and I are truly grateful!
