Twice in as many weeks our 4 year old pre-k child was left at school, being told by Soulshine staff that he 'wasn't supposed to go to Soulshine that day'. I was upset it happened the first time & flabbergasted it happened a second time - especially when neither incident was met with a formal apology or explanation. When we signed him up for Soulshine, we were sold something that did not materialize. They were going to go to the farm every week. Never happened. They were going to make healthy, organic home-made bread. Never happened. They were supposed to be taken to a local park to play when weather was fine. It has been months since we've received an email informing us that 'pick up will be at the park'. Children are left too much to their own devices at this place - with very little supervision and even less structure. As working parents you need to be able to rely on after school care to pick up your child. I can't rely on Soulshine.

Shannon and the whole team are incredible. They are much more professional than most other programs, do so many more activities, interactions and crafts with the children. Additionally they offer many other helpful services such as camps, night outs, sitting, and infant care. Our son loves the staff and the weekly trips to the farm. We love their professionalism, ease of communication, convenient location and the obvious care they take in watching and teaching our children.

SoulShine sets the gold standard for after school care for your children. The entire staff is very professional, educated, and FUN! They are exactly the kind of people you would want your child to spend time with. SoulShine has activities for all interests. They go to the park, help with homework, and do crafts. They teach kids the importance of caring for our environment & how they can each help in their own way. I think that is just great! SoulShine is a very special place to be. My 6 yr. old daughter has been going there for 2 years. I have never had a bad experience with them. Not one! The staff is very responsible & respectful of each child. The teacher to child ratio is twice what I have seen at other programs. SoulShine is the best of the best. I would be happy to talk to any parent interested in SoulShine. The new location on Hosea Williams Blvd. is gorgeous. The building looks like a story book house!
