Appointments kept like clockwork. The work is always good and everyone is courteous and seems honest. We had the HVAC replaced in 2013 and hired them to maintain the system every six months. They replaced our water heater in 2016. From estimate to maintenance every interaction is knowledgeable and enjoyable.

Was initially introduced by our warranty company, and we have since learned they no longer use South Air for a very good reason. HORRIBLE customer service. They use "re-used" parts, we have had our compressor replaced 3 times with them, in the past 4 years, that is not normal. Their follow up is non-existant and Cindy in their main office does not seem to want to help customers at all. They try to rope you in to their Service Contract, don't do it, it's a complete sham, it's a way for them to rip you off for sub/used parts and horrible customer service.

We had a svc contract with South Air for several yrs. Like some others, we were referred to them by our home warranty co. We had average svc from them until last Fri, when we had our regular AC tune-up. After the tech left, the breaker tripped. We called, left a msg that wasn't rtnd, then finally got ahold of someone who sent the tech back - 3 hrs later. When he finally arrived, he just flipped it back on - said maybe rain got into the condenser while he had everything dismantled. By Sat a.m. the breaker had tripped several more times. We called, left a msg, but never heard back. We then called another company which sent someone out immediately, found an almost-bare wire that was shorting-out & SPARKING! He replaced the part & couldn't have been nicer or more efficient. By mid-a.m. Mon we STILL hadn't heard from South Air, so we called them & told them we'd never use them again.

I wish I had read these reviews before I retained South Air. I would have chosen a different company. I had a South Air tech investigate a leak in my condo. He said the leak was caused by my air conditioner. The condo association took his word and I had to pay $1,800 to repair water damage to my neighbor's unit, in addition to $2,400 for a new a/c unit. 3 months later, the leak was back. South Air says this is an entirely separate issue due to a stopped drain hub (the drain hub serves both my neighbor and my a/c units). I think they missed the main cause of the leak and they should reimburse me for the $1,800 at least. They turned it over to their insurance company, which denied the claim. South Air says this is all they can do. That is not the customer service they describe on their website. Don't make the same mistake!

Being a single mother, I was unsure of hiring a HVAC company. After reading the reviews on Kudzu I was even more confused. However,I called South Air and was put at ease with my decision. The tech was very helpful, not pushy and eager to fix the problem with my furnace. Thank you South Air for being there! I am thrilled with the repair and would recommend them to my friends.

A tech from South Air came out to figure out what was wrong with my AC. He said my unit was 20 years old and needed to be replaced. Though in the end I did need a new unit, he lied about the age, it was only seven years old. Also, I believe he may have disconnected ductwork under my house in order to render repairs to my unit useless. I would not recommend this company or this tech (K. Reins according to the service report form he left with me).

This co was referred to us by the home warranty co to service our water heater. The tech was very nice; however days later it was discovered he did not complete the job correctly. The home inspector stated he did not complete according to current code. I called & spoke with Lisa to have the tech come back and she stated it be be $85 + adl expenses. Or call the warranty co. This is a scam, we are very unhappy and dissatisfied with South Air & will not reccommend them ever!

My heater stopped working two weeks after a service call from South Air. I called them back and they made approximately 5 visits to "fix" the heater, replacing different parts each time. After two weeks of no heat, I called a new company, AccuTemp. When Accutemp ran their diagnostics, they found out there was a crack in the heat exchange and immediately condemned the heater and cut off the gas, indicating it was a life threatening situation. They also said one of the burners that was replaced was put in backwards and the control board never needed replacing. Within two days I had a new heater installed from Accutemp. Please do not trust South Air, as I was also contacted by one of their employees who validated the above and quit the company due to unethical situations like this one.
