I went to South Austin Health Imaging in November of 2007 for an MRI. It showed a cartilege tear that, during surgery, turned out to be a misread MRI. Boo. In October of 2008, I received a call from American Health Imaging notifying me that there was a balance on my account. This was the first notice of account, although they insisted that they'd been sending them monthly. I called South Austin Health Imaging to verify the balance and pay via credit card. A woman took my credit card details and assured me that a receipt was in the mail, saying that I should call them in two weeks if one didn't happen to arrive! Sure enough, two weeks later I got another call from American Health Imaging saying that there was STILL a balance on my account. I again called the South Austin branch and spoke with a frankly useless young man who could neither rectify the situation nor inform me of the status of the account. He assures me that a manager will call back tomorrow... In short, their billing and office staff is incompetent and their MRI was dead wrong.
