Inappropriate Changes to lifetime warranty
Inappropriate Changes Made to LIFETIME Warranty. The company provided a lifetime warranty that two years later appears to means nothing. When scheduling a warranty call, I was setup for a service call and quoted a price for the service call $29.00 only to find out that two days before the service call, they would not come because I am outside of the new owners service area. Mind you my house has not moved from the first service they provided and warranteed. The company that provided the warranty still is in existence, however they would not be able to come. When I questioned them not honoring the warranty I was called back and told that the new owner says he doubts they are broken (with no physical evidence, he says this) and would come out but would charge me $89.00, $60.00 more that the quote of $29.00 for a service call of a lifetime warranty provided by Southern Garage Doors. I must say that when I scheduled Southern Garage Doors to come out for a problem, the appointment setup, technician who serviced my doors, the price and recommendations were excellent, under the old owner. Be careful hiring this company, things maybe superb until you have a warranty issue.
