My husband and I has an incredible couples massage- actually we were simply in adjoining rooms with an open window between us. That was perfect for me. My massage person was so awesome. Asked me in advance about how much pressure was good for me and really paid attention. Really got my knots out on my back. I almost fell asleep!

My facial today was like an infomercial. The aesthetician tried to sell me everything from chemical peels, a series of facials, an eyebrow wax and several serums. It was a hard sell throughout the whole facial. Not relaxing at all. I spoke with a staff member who told me that pressure comes from corporate. I then spoke to the manager who offered me an unspecified discount off of a future service -- she said she'd put a note in my file. I have decided to look for a new place. Will not be back.

I had a perfectly lovely day: a great facial with Jo, and relaxing massage with April. True, the formerly plush terry robes have been replaced with skimpy cotton numbers - and the day of beauty no longer includes makeup -- but all in all the service was great, the staff pleasant and professional. I look forward to doing this again, soon.

Like some other reviewers, I have seen Spa Sydell grow past its heyday into a poorly-run business with LOUSY customer service. From the call to book an appointment, to the attitude at reception, to the shabby-looking rooms/linens, and the hit or miss tehcnicians and therapists - time to close the business as it has clearly grown past the Harris family's abilities. Women like myself with the means to choose spa services have the expectation that EVERY interaction will, at a minimum, be courteous, respectful, and prompt. Spa Sydell is delivering none of these things. I think it's over and certainly plan to spread the word to my friends' unsuspecting husbands who buy the gift certificates (possibly the only reason they are still in business!)

I recently received the airbrush tan and it was GREAT. Over the past couple of years I have had numerous airbrush tans both here and at other spas/tanning salons. The results here are terrific and the perfect accessory if you are going to the beach - like I was.

Ok so right before Memorial weekend I went for a spray tan...I came out very orange and streaked. People were laughing at me because it was so bad. I tried everything to get it off...nothing helped. I emailed a complaint...no response. It was awful!

I went to this location for the first time today for a brow tint and wax. The front desk staff were very nice but the lady who did my services had such a cold "attitude" from the get-go. And after reading the other review that they use dirty linens I definitely won't go here again.

I was looking forward to FINALLY using 3 old spa gift certificates that I had received as gifts for my upcoming 30th birthday, but was informed that I could not redeem them because they are over 2 years old. That's over $400 of my friends' and families' hard earned money that they flat out STOLE. I am a VERY busy person and unfortunately haven't had time to take off a whole day to spend at the spa until now. I looked forward to a nice relaxing day at the spa for my 30th, but now I have to inform my friends and family that all their generosity went to waste. Money is money... these gift certificates should not expire. I realize prices may have changed, but I was more than willing to pay the difference. I will certainly be telling all of my friends and family to never buy me another gift certificate from this corrupt company again, and I warn everyone to avoid this unprofessional business like the plague! They aren't even that great of a spa to begin with.

I worked at spa sydell for a couple of years. I recently quit because they have started doing some extremely nasty things. Have you ever gone into the spa and been told that they were out of towels or robes. Did they tell you the truck had not come yet? Guess what! They are so cheap that they dont order enough laundrey for the whole day. And if they are out of towels and robes...how are they not out of sheets? They are...they just flip them. Thats right, you are paying $85hr to lay on sheets that somebody else has already layed on. This is in every location not just alpharetta. Might want to rethink where you get your next massage/facial.

I go to this location for manicures because it's close to my office. The reception area is pleasant and quiet. The manicure area is pretty utilitarian. The manicurists have little cubbies and pull out their table for you to slip behind. When they exfoliate your hands you then have to get up and go to the bathroom and wash your hands. When they leave you to sit as your hands are being moisturized or nails drying the seats are uncomfortable. There is also a wide range of quality between the manicurists. You have to know who to ask for. Some are great while others leave my fingers sore and the manicure doesn't last.

The front desk help was great but the massage was just okay. If I am paying that kind of money, I want to feel like I am getting what I am paying for. Will probablynot go back

I only went to spa sydell because I had recieved a gift certificate as a present. I got a manicure, pedicure and had my brows waxed. The girl who did the wax did a good job, but talked the whole time which was kind of annoying. The lady who did the mani/pedi didn't talk as much which was nice. However, for my pedicure I sat on a horrible little raised bench and put my feet in a kitchen sink. (not relaxing AT ALL) For the manicure, I had to sit on a similar little bench, and had to wait while the lady doing it ran all over looking for supplies that were not already at her station. When I finally left (about 3 hours after getting there) my back was very sore. My manicure only lasted about 24 hours before it started to flake off. I would never go back here, it was over priced, had a horrible atmosphere, and the quality of work left something to be desired. (I also think that it is unreasonable to charge an extra $7 for a french manicure on top of the already expensive pricetag!)

I decided to stop doing the massage thing because my experiences were never that great. Then I met Christy. She gave the deepest massage I've ever received and it lasted the whole HOUR! She was consistent, focused on the points I told her to, but didn't neglect any one area. Totally 110% the WHOLE ENTIRE TIME! I will definately start going back on regular basis thanks to her.
