Won't stop trying to sell you things.
I was in recently for a massage and facial. The actual massage and facial were great, but the people kept trying to sell me more services or products any chance they could. I go to a spa to relax. It's not relaxing to have someone pressuring you to buy more, more, more.

Absolutely awful
Total ripoff. The massage not relaxing, the staff was rude, my physical pain was completely ignored by the therapist, and I was repeatedly solicited to buy their cheaply made, overpriced products .
The female manager dressed like she worked on a street corner, and twice I saw her screaming at an employee for "not selling enough product." I'm not sure why they want their employees to sell cheaply made products at ridiculous prices, but maybe if the manager had any sort of people or managerial skills, people would consider buying something or even returning for that matter.
It's no surprise that they are in bankruptcy with service and administrative employees like this.

Spend your money elsewhere
The service is very touch and go with the Spa Sydell at the Forum. I have had a couple of really good massages there, but the last two experiences with them were not very good. My last massage was performed by a smoker who smelled like smoke, which was a nasty thing to smell while getting a massage. Just the other day, I had a face wax and made the horrible mistake of adding an eyebrow wax to the deal. Not only did I pay over $50 for the service, but she missed a bunch of hair on my face, and now 2/3 of my eyebrows are gone! She horrified them! I will never be getting a wax there again!

Will take you for every cent!
My husband gave me a $90 gift certificate along with the "$20 off any service of $90 or more" coupon for Valentine's Day. I visted the Forum spa for a Body Polish and Body Wrap ($150). When I came into the spa, I was offered a Fast Facial for 15% off by the lady at the desk. I said ok. At the time of checkout, I presented my gift card and coupon and was told that the coupon could not be combined with the gift card. I also said that I was not interested in the recommended products. The cashier called the manager to the desk and she agreed that they could not honor the coupon "because of the fine print." The fine print on the coupon clearly reads "Not redeemable with series. Cannot be combined with any other offer. No cash value. Not redeemable for cash or gift certificate." No where on the coupon did it say that it could not be combined with the gift certificate. Not only were the manager and cashier rude and disrespectful, they clearly were not properly trained or informed. After all this, I noticed that my bill was still high. I questioned the amount and the cashier said that she had included the products that I had specifically stated that I didn't want. At this point I had spent 15 minutes arguing and said to just forget it and left. Tanya was wonderful and I would go back to her again for services, but as it stands now, I WILL NEVER walk back into a Spa Sydell.

VERY RUDE massage therapist
I have been to many spas for massages and never have I come across such a rude, cold, (not to mention that her hands were very cold!!), and unprofessional person as I did with "Amy". Never go to see her!! She talked thru my massage, asked me if I had a problem with her being a smoker, was very hard on my muscles and just a plain poor massage therapist. I was crying when I left. I asked her to STOP my massage in the middle of it as she was so rude and gave me a very bad experience there. Just remember- don't choose Amy if you go there!!
