OMG! Stephanie Can not be the Manager!
I can't believe a manager would treat anyone the way Stephanie treated me. I don't think she is qualified to be a manager. I was scheduled for a body massage, but got there 10mins late. I got a call from stephanie when I was still in my car trying to find a parking spot. She insisted I reschedule bcos I was late. I told her that I was outside the bldg about to come in but she said "No, mam" so I agreed to reschedule.
I went back there again for a body massage and was advised by my massage specialist (MS) to book an hour time slot,so I did with a young man. 10 mins after leaving the bldg the young man called back and said he couldn't schedule me for Monday at 12:30pm, I'll have to come in at 11am. I told him I couldn't do that time but promised to call back since I was on the other line. To my surprise, I got a call from Stephanie on Monday morning shouting and screaming that she will have to charge me for not showing up for my 11am appointment. I tried explaining to her what actually happened but she just went off. OMG! She even lied that the other day I was 45MINS late for my appt when I was only 10mins late. What kind of a manager would do such a thing? The service was not free. I paid for my service. A co-worker overhead our conversation and quickly notified the MS what had happened. The MS called back but I had missed her call, so she left me a msg and apologized on the "managers" behalf. I called back SPA Sydel and stephanie kept on hanging the phone on me. OMG

Ok Experience
I received a gift certificate from my boss so I scheduled a massage and facial. The massage was average at best. The facial was ok, but the entire time the esthetician was trying to upsell me to get an add on to the facial. When I was finished with my services, I went to check out and they had already bagged up all the products that were used on me and just "assumed" that I would buy them. The facility is very nice, but I felt like I was constantly being "sold" while I was there.

Thanks Dawn!
They asked me to be there at least 15 minutes before my appointment. My appointment was at noon and I was there at 11:40 a.m. but ended up waiting until 12:15 p.m. Later my esthetician, Dawn told me I was booked at 1:00 p.m. by mistake. She was nice enough to take me during her lunch break and gave me facial 15 minutes more than usual to accommodate the inconvenience. Her analysis was on-point and her technique was great. She was very polite and appropriate, the service and the treatment that you would expect from the up-scale salon. The salon was very quiet and clean. It was very relaxing experience. I can definitely see myself going back to see her again!

Going down...
I normally go to Spa Sydell once a year for my birthday. This year was a total waste. For one, the person scheduled me for the wrong time slot. I didn't find out until the receptionist informed me that I was "late" for my appointment. The spa is supposed to be a cell phone free zone. There was a woman having a full blown conversationno one said anything to her. My massage wasn't very good. I actually was praying for it to be over. They used to roll out the red carpet for you. Offer you water, give you robes and slippers, escort you upstairs. I had to find everything myself (which wasn't too difficult since I have been there before). I won't return until they improve as the prices are too expensive for mediocre service.

Park Place-Robert masseuse
Through the 13 years that I have lived in Atlanta, I had occasionally tried Spa Spydell for massage, but found the therapists to be the types who did their "schtick" and did not work on the muscle groups that I said I needed work on. But, about 1 year ago, I discovered Robert, and I have been going back to him when I can. Robert is very personal and very professional. He will listen to what I say is bothering me and then he will carefully find the muscles that need work. I tend to get a lot of tension in the shoulders and upper back and he uses deep massage to get into the muscles. He really is interested in "fixing" the problems you present with and for making the customer happy. He seems to be up on the latest techniques for massage and continues to work on his professional knowledge.
