Horrible internet service experience, 9/03/2010

We signed up with Speakeasy several months ago and have had the worst possible experience. Setup took months longer than they promised and now internet outages happen multiple times a week for us... (there have actually been days where the whole company sat around for hours, unable to use the web, make calls, or do anything), and we are losing tens of thousands of dollars in revenue every time the internet crashes. We have pleaded with Speakeasy for help and they are completely unresponsive.To make matters worse, our phone lines are constantly staticky, and they even have the nerve to blame their issues on us, even though our earlier provider had no issues.They have run the gamut of excuses, from our building's ""old wiring"" to ?3rd party providers? and now they are blaming us, the customer. Yesterday they tried to say we must have a virus disrupting our service, which is impossible as the problems persist even when every single computer is shut down. They will do anything to try to pass blame to others and deny responsibility. We are at our breaking point -- and that's saying a lot, since we've been patient for months, trusting them when they said they'd take care of us. We even canceled a contract with our previous provider (and paid a giant fee for that) to sign up with Speakeasy. Now we're looking at yet another cancellation fee to escape the shadiest internet provider in history.If you can help it, take your money elsewhere. Speakeasy is either too incompetent to provide a decent service or simply doesn't care about you once you've signed the contract.
