Transmission Warranty Is Worthless
I had my wife's RX300 transmission rebuilt at this location and it took them 3 times in the shop before they got it working right. When I first started the work RObert owned the shop. The last time I was in there, JL ran the shop. Now, 1 year later, the same transmission goes out again. Neither, Robert or JL are in the shop and another Speedy owner took over. However, Speedy transmission does not Warrant other Speedy Transmission work, so the warranty I got from Robert/JL is no good and I have to pay for another transmission job to get my car working as it should have the 1st time around. Speedy is not a good shop to have transmission work done. If you think a FRANCHISE covers the work, then you are mistaken. The warranty is only garunteed by that particular shop owner. Other Speedy's will charge you for a new transmission job if you go elsewhere to have the work redone.

One of the worst experiences of my life
I am sorry to have to say my experience with Speedy Transmission has been just awful! I have been holding off commenting to see if they would stand behind their work, their word and their warranty and property repair my transmission but unfortunately they have not. I paid to have my transmission rebuilt and since picking it up from their shop on 5/11/10 I have had my vehicle back in their shop 4 different times and have been without my vehicle for over 2 additional weeks while they try to figure out what’s wrong. They still have not fixed the issue with my reverse gear not working. I paid all of this money and now have to think before I park my car so I don’t have to use my reverse – ridiculous and unacceptable! I have been told they had a change of ownership, the new owner Stacey initially told me that he was responsible for taking care of any warranty issues. He has not fixed my transmission and now tells me that he is not going to do anything further on my vehicle. He gave me the phone number to call for the main office for the Speedy Transmission franchise (561) 274-0445. I called the number and got a recording – no live person to speak with – I have left a couple of messages and as to date have not received a call back. Please try this number yourself and see if anyone will call you back – bet they won’t!

repair or not?
I had JL tow my car to his shop to see if the repairs were worth doing. He gave us an estimate in just a few days - then did some more analysis to help us determine full scope of needs for our older minivan. At the end of the day, we determined it was worth LESS than the value of the repairs. JL was very nice during this time - it has been a few weeks since the car died in our driveway. So, deciding we need a new vehicle, I got an online estimate from Autotrader for my car (including that it was not driveable)and told JL that we would tow it to a dealer to sell it. At that point, JL told me he would give me $200 because after he charged me for storage for the time it was there - that's about all I would have left from the dealer! We have no agreement regarding storage and I definitely feel like he is taking advantage of my tough situation. I read all of the reviews on here so carefully before selecting this store/location and am surprised to say the least. I am going to wrap this up tomorrow and will post the outcome.

May 6th,
I sold it to JL and forgot to get my tag - went back for my tag and the car was already resold!

:) I think we were both happy with the outcome in general

i threw jl and his staff a real curve ball. but through his tenacity and resilience he made a tough situation into a positive result. jl will go the extra mile to insure the customer is satisfied. highley recommend!!
