I recommend Dr. Spivey to all of my friends who are frustrated with their Drs. I've been there too. I have a significant medical history for being a 30 yr old female. I feel I can trust him with my health since he has been right on the money for ALL my issues that have come up in the last three yrs. The staff are very helpful and responsive. They have been able to work me in the same day for emergencies. They also have your lab results available online a few days after your visit. I highly recommend Dr. Spivey.

When I was unhappy with the chaos and lack of professionalism from my previous doctor's office, a colleague referred me to Dr. Spivey. I have subsequently referred him to my husband and to another colleague, who referred him to her husband. Dr. Spivey is caring, knowledgeable, and takes the time to answer all of my questions. All of the office staff are friendly and very professional. The office does same day appointments, and you can schedule your appointments by email. One small thing that I don't take for granted with an in-town doctor: plenty of easily-accessible, FREE parking is available. In short, Dr. Spivey is the best internist I've ever had.

I have been seeing David Spivey for 15 years now and that should say enough. It is rare today to find a truly compassionate doctor who brings "it" all down to earth and in a very professional manner. He is my mentor and I don't know the health I would have had without him.

Dr. Spivey is one of three men who made a wonderful, positive change in my life. I was recommended to Dr. Spivey by a friend at a time when I was mortified by the uncaring, thoughtless actions of a past physician. I believe I'd be dead right now had I not seen him. Dr. Spivey totally listens to and cares for his patients.

I have been a patient of David for over 10 years. I could not be more happy with all that he has done for me under his care. He truly has a compassion and understanding of his patients and their needs. He has always been there when I needed him regardless of the problem. When my Mother passed away, he sent the most sincere and caring note to me expressing his sympathy and asked on a follow up visit if there was anything he could do for me. His nurse is very attentive and most friendly as are all the staff in the practice. I have recommended others to him and they are most pleased and so happy in their move.

I saw Dr. Spivey when my primary physician was away (they're in the same practice). I must say that I was rather uncomfortable during the whole visit. I felt as though he was cold and uncaring and it is truly the first time I've ever walked away from a physician saying that I'd never go back again. I didn't feel as though he listened to me and when I left, I had no more confidence that I was going to get better than if I had diagnosed myself. I've seen other physicians in the practice and had a completely different experience. In fact, I would say that all the other doctors that I have met in the practice have been stellar and I've been going for many years now. But if it's Dr. Spivey or nothing, I'll suffer an additional day until I can see a different doctor.

I have been under Dr. Spivey's care for 5yrs now. He's one of the best Dr.s I've ever had. He makes me feel very comfortable and is easy to talk to. His nurse and staff show the highest level of professionalism. When I needed after hours care, and I was out of town on business, I called Dr. Spivey. He stayed on the phone with me until he had quieted my fears and made sure to see me as soon as I got home. I have recommended him to my friends and family

I've had David as my primary physician for 5 years; his care, concern, and office manner is warm and professional. In addition, I've recommended him to several friends (male and female), all of whom swear by him as well. He and his office staff are "simply the best!"

I saw spivey when my regular doctor wasn't available. Simply put, he is the least sensitive physician I have every seen, especially regarding women's health issues. He doesn't have a clue but was quick to suggest a hysterectomy as the solution, citing "most women never look back after having one." Yeah, I'm sure he would know first hand about that. He stressed me out to the point of tears and then had the unbelievable nerve to ask "Are you seeking therapy or some other psychological help?" Scary guy and I can't believe he has a medical degree. Don't waste your time with him, he doesn't care about you.
