Wish I'd never heard of St Fran. My little dog died because of their repeated mistakes. My mistake was to take her there. After 4 visits in 11 days, I finally realized how incompetent they were. I then took her to another vet that diagnosed her problem in about 10 minutes. Sadly too much time had been wasted at St Fran and it was too late for treatment. I guess the vets at St Fran have not heard of an x-ray. It's been 4 weeks & I'm still crying. My daughters stopped going to St Fran because of problems they had experienced there. I wish I had changed vets sooner than later.

My cat had a urinary blockage and could not urinate. This was a deadly condition if it was not taken care of within a few hours because the toxins from his urine were killing him from the inside. When I brought him to the doctor she spent over an hour trying to put a catheter in his urethra to relieve his bladder. Once she failed at this, she referred me to a "Specialist" over 2 hours away for a $3500 surgery to get the catheter in because she couldn't. She then said if I couldn't afford the surgery I will need to put him down, tonight. Well...I went to another vet about 10 minuets down the road and he got it in less than 20 mins. I was charged $500 from the first vet at St. Francis after she could not help my cat. Please do not go here and cause your pet more pain, it may be the decision between life and death.

I used to take my dogs to another vet in town and had to push them through the door, nails clenching the floor. We board them here every time we go out of town and have for 2-3 years. They are amazing! They know us when we walk in the door and they are excited to be here. The staff is great and the facility is clean and looks great!

I just relocated and brought my young cat for routine exam and vaccines. The next day my cat had a high temp and was limping. I called St. Francis and it was worthless as the staff was apathetic, rude and gave completely inaccurate advice. I took my cat to another vet and was treated properly. Additionally, I have never been to a vet where they do not let the owner be present for any part of the exam/treatment. In my opinion that creates more stress for the animal and owner.
