(Please read reviews on Yelp including ones that say, not recommended, located at the bottom of the page.) Disabled woman had very bad stressful experience with this puppy mill. Paid a $600 deposit in early March, 2015 and was promised a male or female puppy with dark coloring by end of May. Was told if color pref was not available, deposit would be returned. No pups at all until end of July and all were too white, so passed on them. Second litter came August 1. 4 females, 2/dark. Choose dark one and still promised first choice of litter. Dark female promised but was told could not see it for 3 weeks. Followed rules and visited close to the 3rd week and was told both dark ones were sold to someone who paid total amount upfront around August 12th. Have been put through he** by owner who refused to return my money because she said she still had pups to pick from. I refused to settle and that went on for awhile. Then the next two excuses were no refund until she sold both litters and then next excuse was only if I agreed not to mention these things to anyone about her. I would only agree to not defame her with lies. This is all truths and got money back after she made me meet her and her friends in a bar parking lot 2 hours from home. Terrified sick! Buy a bird!

This kennel is clean, the dogs are happy and well trained, the staff very knowledgeble. My puppy was clean and well cared for. He is very affectionate and smart. We are very happy with our puppy and would not hesitate to reccomend this kennel to anyone. We were provided with everything we needed to bring our puppy home. The owner explained the contract very throughly, and answered my questions. To hear from people whose dogs came from Starview look on facebook, and do your research.

We continue to have a very positive experience with Starview Kennels. I got my Shichon puppy, Leo, at 3 months old and already he was well socialized, potty-trained and knew the sit command. I took him to the vet to have him checked out - no parasites and the vet says he's a very healthy animal. He's such a happy puppy I have to think he was treated very well for his first 3 months of life at the kennel. I visited the kennel in person, found everything to be clean, happy well-adjusted animals, no foul smells. Add to that, Mary Lou has been completely available to me when I've had questions about training, feeding, etc. Leo came with a full set of vet records and instructions for continuing his care. I just couldn't be happier with our experience here. I'm surprised at some of the negative reviews here and can only think that, if there were indeed problems, they were short-lived and in the past OR, and I think this more likely, they were written by other s competing for business.

If you have happened upon this review before making the mistake i did (of purchasing a dog from starview kennels), then you can count yourself extremely fortunate. I am an expert dog trainer and former breeder who has worked with several working dog breeds. I purchased an older pup from this establishment as a pet. They assured me that this pup was healthy and even housebroken. However, when i got the dog home and had him examined by a vet, it was found that he had several major health issues that the breeder would have obviously known about. I"ve had experience with at least a couple dozen major breeders in the NorthWest and this place is absolutely, unmistakably substandard. Aside from the health issues, this dog was permanently damaged psychologically as a result of them keeping the dog in a tiny crate 24 hours a day until he was 9 months old. I am not certain if i can ever pull him back to normalcy. The biggest evidence of the sleaziness of starview kennels is the fact that they actually had planned to use this poor specimen as a breeding animal!! These people are nothing but unethical backyard breeders at best, and more to the point really just a puppy mill. Buyer's be forewarned.

We bought our goldendoodle, Buttercup here 3 years ago. She's had good health and wonderful temperment. I know they sell the mothers then they pass breeding age. I wouldn't hesitate to buy again, but might check other places also.

First impression was too many dogs, what happens to the poor, unpurchased puppies crying outside in their muddy kennel; what happens to the moms once they are'done'?; it's a business more than a lovng space for puppies. could be in the 'puppy mill' spectrum. isolated area. though we paid a deposit for a puppy, we had second thoughts when we got home and decided to foreit the money.
