My husband and I have had State Farm Insurance for many, many years. About four years ago, on our way to La Jolla to see a Doctor, we had a big problem. It was fairly late in the afternoon and traffic was very heavy. We were getting ready to exit the freeway on to another ramp. The traffic was at a total stand-still. Traffic had plain stopped. While we were waiting for some movement, we heard an enormous crash! A very large truck that did not know that the traffic had stopped, real-ended us. My husband suffered severe neck injuries and had to have surgery in which a plate was put into his neck. He was forced to retire and went through an enormous amout of pain. The person in the other vehicle said she was sorry and did not realize traffic had stopped. She asked to borrow our cell phone to call her insurance. After this was all over with, her remark was " I'm glad we got to bump into each other." I called my insurance agent and reported it. When we got our next insurance premium, we noticed that there was a substanicial raise in the premium. The accident was not our fault, but if you have State Farm Insurance, you had better expect a raise in premiums, even if it was not your fault. We asked why and the answer was because of the accident, ( which, mind you was not at all our fault.) Shop around for your insurance and ask questions because State Farm is good at raising premiums. I would not reccommend them to anyone. There are much better insurance companies out there.

Your situation sounds very unfortunate. Each State Farm Agency is operated by an independent contractor agent. Therefore, I do not know your situation, nor who your particular agent was, but I'd like to help. Please give my agency a call and we will look into the matter and help you in any way possible.
