It took these guys over a month to begin the job after I was given an estimate (and this wasn't even during the peek season). When they actually started the work, they left logs laying around my property and my neighbor's property for over a week. Plus when they dropped the trees, they showed no care for where they landed. They damaged most of the surrounding bushes and turf. Beware - they are now changing their name to Georgia Outdoor Solutions, so don't be fooled (new name, same shoddy work).

I used Statewide for a major project in the backyard. They broke a fence and took shingles off my shed. They did fix the work after several phones calls to management. When they didn't leave any mulch - I had to call back and have deliver the mulch. The backed the truck up and dumped the mulch on the fence breaking it. Do not use unless you are willing to babysit a crew to make sure your property isn't damaged.

Played phone tag for two days with company's answering service. Once I made contact with the sales rep, he did not want to take the call. The rep asked me to hang up and call the answering service and leave a message rather than speak with me. Even after this headache, I went with this company because they were local. There were many scheduling problems as I had to work my schedule around their schedule and they plan their schedule on a daily basis - no "weekend warriors" according to the owner. Even after all of the trouble with scheduling, they were late to the appointment and failed to tell me that the job would be two to three days to complete. There was a dispute between my wife and the crew. When I attempted to resolve the dispute with the owner he became belligerent and made verbal threats. Bottom line, this company does not appreciate their customers. There are too many tree companies in Atlanta that truly want and appreciate business for anyone to every put up with this type of behavior.

I called Statewide in a frenzy one morning as we were in the middle of a landscaping project in our back yard. A very large root was uncovered that had to be ground asap for our project to be finished. They came out within an hour, and had someone come the next morning. The original worker that came was a bit inexperienced and left some of the root still intact. We called back and were greeted with a very friendly reassurance that it would be taken care of, no questions asked. They came back today and ground the additional root without any grief and no extra charge. They were awesome, very professional, and helped me out in a pinch!

Recently we took bids for tree removal on our primary residence property. We contacted five different tree services including Statewide. We needed two trees removed - one dead and a danger to our home and another adjacent to our driveway. These trees were leaning toward the house and over the home's electrical supply, telephone, and cable lines. Statewide provided us with a fair price, timely scheduling, and a clean site after the work was complete. The trees were cut into fireplace lengths and placed on the sides of our driveway to allow for passage. Statewide also offers free chips (mulch) upon request, which we have taken advantage of not once but twice. Thanks Jim and Gray. We will call Statewide with our future tree service needs.

We had Statewide Tree out to our property to do some clearing. They did an excellent job for us. They arrived on time and had the equipment necessary to do the work. They worked hard and cleaned up any mess that was made during the process.

After calling around and getting some pretty high prices - we contacted Statewide. They did the job for almost half of what some of the others charged. They were professional and honest. There were no problems. We have already recommended them to family and friends.

We recently had 23 trees removed from our very very overgrown front and back yard. We called eight different companies to give us quotes. Out of the eight, Statewide presented a very professional proposal, insurance certificates and all! We found this very reassuring because four trees were towering over our house. Also, they gave us the best quote of all eight companies! Very reasonable price! I would absolutely recommend Statewide! Very professional, safe, and hard working. Thanks for a job well done!

We compared only two companies and gambled on Statewide, who was half the other quote. They came, did the job expertly, and left the debris as requested (for firewood) but in addition cut it up into short logs. Would hire again in a minute, although I agree with others that the exact date of service was not given. Follow-up Dec 2013: Company has sold to or merged with Georgia Outdoor Solutions. They came out and gave us an estimate in writing. We left a message to call and let us know when they could do the work, esp so we could either be home or at least take the dogs to doggie day care when they were there, since trees were inside the dogs' fence. After 3 messages left, they still never called back. We dropped our effort and will use someone else. Too bad; Statewide was wonderful.

Best price after calling extremely well known and well respected companies. We had a huge oak-they showed up, did the job, cleaned up and were gone.Downside, is that they couldn't give me an exact date the job was to be done and when they did show up it was later than what they had anticipated.Customer Service and quick turn around (which did not matter at the time) not good, tree removal and price = great. I would call them again for a quote. If it's a time sensitive, I would get in writing.

I was very disappointed with Statewide. They were wonderful when giving an estimate, but once I tried to schedule an appointment, it went downhill fast. They wouldn't confirm a date/time, but would tell me "We'll plan to come next week, and we'll call to let you know what day." That day never came. After leaving many (many!) messages, I finally gave up and called 404-cut-tree. They were EXCELLENT! Great price, great service, everything! Use 404-cut-tree instead!
