Our experience is quite different than the glowing comments below. Hugh did a project for me 10 years ago, and was contracted again for a similar one on Oct 31, 2016 - patio, paver walkway, and fireplace - around $32,000. He signed contract Oct 31, and promised completion in time for a Dec 17 backyard GT graduation party. It is now July and still not done. He took the 50% initial deposit and used to to pay off his many other debts. In December, he rented a $4000/month digger from home depot, which sat in our backyard unused for a month until HD sent a repossession company to knock on my front door to pickup because his credit card bounced when they tried to bill him for a second month. His crew - Teffo, his brother, and Javier - often do not work because they tell me Hugh owes them money. The week before Christmas, Hugh said he could restart our project if we paid them $3000 in back pay he owed them (told us we could take it off the bill) ... they sat in our driveway for hours before leaving - unpaid. Hugh blames either the weather or his crew for months of delays. We finally got the project restarted in March/April because I began to use the remaining 50% to buy supplies direct and pay his crew direct. We are now at $36,000 out of pocket and still not done. Currently, Hugh doesn't have the money to pay his guys to finish a paver sidewalk - last part of project. He's now running from my lawyer. Doubt my story? ... ask him about Kurt in Smyrna.

We recently used Stone Age Stonescapes LLC to convert a fire pit into a natural gas pit. The work was completed in a timely manner and we now have used this fire pit multiple times. The stone work was excellent. Stone Age does other work as well as stone. Landscaping and outdoor kitchens. Stone Age was cheaper than the 4 other competitors I called. Hugh was a joy to work with after calling multiple companies prior. I would use him again & again!

This is our second project w/Hugh and his crew. Once again, they helped us to transform a backyard with a lackluster design into a beautiful and updated outdoor living area! This time, Hugh removed the dated patio and tie wall, and installed two new patios, a new paver wall, and steps to join the two patios. When the masonry work was done, the crew also planted shrubs and installed new sod. Once again, we are really pleased with the results, and recommend StoneAge Stonescapes.

Hugh and his team took our vision for a new patio, boulder steps and boulder walls and turned it into a beautiful reality. The workmanship was top notch and at an exceptional value. Hugh is very good to work with and aims to satisfy.

Hugh and StoneAge built a stone bar on my patio as well as hanging a mantel and big screen tv on my outdoor stone fireplace (included running electricity and hdmi). Not only does it look great but I have to give Hugh kudos for the way he worked with us. We were very involved in the process and Hugh was very patient with us and rolled with the changes.

To finalize our outdoor living space we wanted to add a fireplace and a flagstone patio/walkway to our existing wooden deck. Hugh Dixon and his crew did an excellent job of making our dream a reality. We love how he managed to integrate the outdoor fireplace into our existing deck. This team takes pride in what they do and delivered exactly what they promised to do. Thanks Hugh - We are truly enjoying it. Great quality! Great value! JOB WELL DONE!!

Hugh rebuilt our stone grill on the upper patio and did an outstanding job. The original grill was built prior to us having the home and was done incorrectly and was rotting inside and water was leaking in. Hugh and his team know exactly what they are doing and broke it down, then rebuilt it the right way with superior quality. He was also very fair on his price for the job.

Hugh turned our rotted out deck and unsightly backyard into a beautiful oasis. I was unsure as to whether or not a flagstone patio would work with the configuration of our back yard and existing stack stone wall, but Hugh and his team did an incredible job creating a beautiful space. As the project progressed we even added on more work, boulder steps leading down to a lower existing patio, that also helped solve some drainage issues. The patio is truly a work of art and our backyard is now our favorite spot of our new home!

We wanted to remodel our patio but had trouble visualizing exactly what we wanted. Hugh and his team were able to take our basic ideas and create something exceptional. The creativity, craftsmanship, and quality of the work was all excellent. highly recommended!

Hugh and his team did a phenomenal job designing and installing our new outdoor kitchen. We challenged Hugh to match the style of our existing hardscape, and he came through with flying colors. StoneAge is truly a one-stop shop. Not only were they able to handle the construction of the kitchen area, but they also installed all of the components saving us both time and money on additional contractors. Lastly, the team is fastidious about keeping clean. At the end of each workday the area was thoroughly cleaned, with all tools and raw materials stored neatly away. I highly recommend StoneAge and wouldn't hesitate to use them again.

Hugh and his crew transformed our backyard from a hideous eyesore to a beautiful backyard oasis, with a large paver patio, retaining walls, stairs and landscaping. (He also solved the drainage problem so that grass can now grow in what was previously sludge.) Excellent craftsmanship and design skills, and we are very pleased with the results.

Last year, Hugh and his team constructed a flagstone patio and fireplace in our backyard. We recently called him back to complete all of the rock work(including a water feature for our new in-ground spa). His team did a great job again and we are very pleased with the work!

Hugh and his team did a fantastic job on a challenging Allen Block wall and creek stabalization project. Hugh was very accomodating to requested changes during the project. Project clean-up was done right without need for any direction or suggestions. StoneAge is an excellent choice if you want a job done right without hasstle at a reasonable price.
