I have been using this vets since Dr Malsby and now I am with Dr Richardson. Rhonda, the vet tech, has been there with both vets and loves our animals.I have been in a room and she has popped her head round the door, with tears in her eyes, telling me they are a little delayed. They get upset when its sad news. They are caring and do follow up with calls. Daisy at front desk is a very sweet young receptionist with a lot of care for your pets. Dr Richardson appeared to do microsurgery for our golden doodles spay. Her scar was so small and neat...the size of a nickle?? My dog came home with enough meds to keep her calm and out of pain until she got to feeling better. I love this vets. I wouldn't trust anyone else with our three cats and one dog. When I see emotion from the vet and the vet tech when your animal is 'at that moment', I know there are no other vets for my animals. That is exactly what I want. To confirm the last review, I have had many an occasion when I needed to get my animals in at short notice and they would have me in there in 20 mins! They care and they are reasonable. And the do open on Sat mornings for those of us who cannot leave work! I would highly recommend this vets practice and whats more, so would my animals!

SAD NEWS: Dr. Malsby, owner of Suburban Vet, passed away in April 2009. He was a very kind man and always treated our pets with care. He was especially comforting to us when we had to put down three of our pets over the period of 15 years that we have been seeing him. He was a wonderful veterinarian and will be missed - by pets and humans alike. I believe that there is still another vet in the practice, so I imagine the doors will remain open.

Our kitties go there and for the most part they are good to us. They always know my name and all my kitties names which is important to me. If I call and tell them I'm having problems with Sophie they know immediately that she is my Persian. They try to help me over the phone before we make an appt. This saves me lots of money on vet bills. They are not pushy to sell you unnessesary meds and treatments. They have gently put asleep several of our girls and have been very respectful of our grief. I used this vet for years until their service level went downhill horribly. They made we wait in an exam room one time for an hour while the staff and doc joked around outside. I changed vets after that. I recently started to give them a second chance a few years later, but they called my house and left a message only 15 minutes before our scheduled appointment for my new dog and wanted to reschedule! All after I had to leave work in the middle of the day especially to take the dog to the vet because of their banker's style business hours. Clearly they just don't care about other people's time. I rescheduled our appointment for never....
