Bad Experence at Sugo Johns Creek, 1/25/2013

This was our first time coming to Sugo. I read the reviews and thought we would give it a try... It seem like everyone has a good experence here and maybe we went on a bad night. First we ordered the... Bacon wrapped dates. They were just ok... Equated to about 2 pieces of bacon and 6 dates for about $9. My wife ordered a Wiskey Sour and it came in a normal Rocks glass. It contained an Ice Cube almost as big as the inside of the glass. So the drink had less than 2oz of liquid and the rest ice cube for about $11. When the ceasar salads came you could really taste the anchovies. Almost too strong. I know this is a matter of taste but it was more fishy than any ceasar salad I have ever had. I ordered the Pork and my wife ordered the Veal. Both presentations were terrible. Everything on both plates were the same color and they just piled everything on top of each other in the center of the plate then put a wilted piece of garnish on top. Starting with the pork, When I cut into it I could tell that it was very dry. It also had a very strong natural gas taste to the point I personally could not eat it. The veggies tasted the same and were so over cooked they were mushy. When Frank, the waiter, came over I told him that the Pork Tenderloin was not good and I couldn't eat it. He seem shocked by my statement but took it away.

One of the best Italian Restaurants, 2/04/2012

We have visited both locations...in Roswell & Johns Creek. Both were great. Great, authentic Italian food, great service, & ambiance. Fair prices for the quality of food. This is top of our list... for date night.

Not up to par w/ sister restaurant Iberian Pig :(

Just okay. The same items that I loved at the Iberian Pig were mediocre at Sugo. I will not be back.
