We reclaim all freon from system changeouts and turn in to recycle facilties.
So far they have sent the same guy out 3 times and he hasn't done anything to resolve our issue of the AC pipe freezing up. First time he said Freon was low but he couldn't do anything and would... have to come back the next day when it thawed. Came back the next day and said Freon was fine but filters were clogged. We changed the filters and it still wasn't cooling. Came back a 3rd time and said Freon was fine. Did nothing else. AHS told me we would not owe an additional service fee, but currently AHS is saying we owe $75. I paid Summer Breeze over a week and half ago and the check has cleared, but apparently they have not yet paid AHS. Currently on the phone waiting (10 minute hold time with AHS) to get someone out a 4th time as the unit has yet frozen up again and the filters look fine. This company has never once run full diagnostics on my unit and meantime I continue to roast. He was supposed to have the office call me to schedule adding a vent to a room and an emergency shut off switch but apparently he didn't complete the paperwork because they never called. At this point I plan on asking AHS to send another company. If they insist on this one, then I insist on a new tech who knows what he is doing.VIEW MORE »VIEW LESS »
We just had Summer Breeze Heating & Air out to fix a reoccurring air conditioning problem. They sent their Senior Service Technician, Matt Scott. He was terrific!!! Very knowledgeable with what... was wrong with our system and now has us up and running. Highly recommend Summer Breeze Heating & Air. The technician diagnosed and repaired the problem quickly, and was polite and professional. Only issue was he arrived late to the appointment (Atlanta traffic...), but their real-time tracker advised me of the delay and kept me up-to-date on the arrival time. I don't understand the negative reviews, my experience was very good. I recommend them. Service was arranged through American Home Shield, and the appointment was scheduled promptly. Summer Breeze called within 24 hrs to confirm the day and time window.

The first time they came out they put in 2 pounds of freon and then lied to warranty company saying they put in 6 pounds so they could charge them more, and they scribbled out the amount on the receipt. The next time they lied about an AC coil being blown out but told the warranty people a different story.

I called my home warranty company and they referred me to Summer Breeze. They came out on last Friday to check the why my Air wasn't cooling. The tech that arrive was the most pleasant person. But i was only concerned with my air working. it was 89 degrees in my home. The repair tech said that my compressor was over heating, and he installed a "Hard Start". And said this would help force the cool air out. However, may 2hours after he left the temp went up to 91, so it got hotter. So i called the office back, but they were already closed, and they were closed on the weekend. I called my home warranty company back and expressed to them that the company needed to come back out because the air condition had not been repaired. So they sent me a confirmation email stating they would send the company back out. The lady from the office was very pleasant and professional that called me Monday Morning. So she scheduled an appointment for the next day Tuesday. So they sent the same tech back out. So when he arrived on Tuesday i was upstairs and i heard a loud knock but wasn't sure where it was coming from. so i ran downstairs to find out where it was coming from, and to my surprise it was the tech at the door leading from the garage. I thought that was odd to have a company coming through my garage when I have a front door. Unprofessional in my Opinion. so initially on Friday he said my refrigerant was over filled. But he said the AC was fixed. It was still 86 degrees in my home.

I contacted AHS on a Sunday about my AC unit not cooling my home. They assign Summer Breeze Heating & Air to fix my AC unit. I called Summer Breeze Heating & Air the next day, on a Monday. They scheduled someone to come on Tues between 3pm and 6pm. The assign person arrived around 7:30pm. The repair person found the problem to be the blow motor, so one was ordered. I was put on the schedule for Wednesday between 2pm and 6pm. So, I took off of work, again. He came by around 2:30pm, which is good. The repair man seemed really committed to fix the problem. He took the unit down to put in the new motor. He notice something wrong with the part of the unit that held the motor and had to go out to get it, took less than 1 hour. When he return and attempted to install the motor, it wouldn’t fix because it was not the original type of motor. So once again, I am left with my AC repair unresolved. It's Thursday now, so that mean that the new part ordered would be received by Summer Breeze Heating & Air on Friday and the next attempt at repairing my unit would be Monday. So, a whole week will have gone by with no air. The repair person did try to do everything he could to get me up and running but at the end of the day I am left with the problem unresolved. The only thing I could do was to laugh to keep from crying. My deductible should be waived and I should receive a free winter heating tuneup/maintenance. That's the least they should do.

Travis was sent out by American Home Shield to diagnose why my AC was not cooling. He called about 15 minutes before arriving, arrived during appointed time, quickly diagnosed and resolved the problem by replacing capacitor, adding Freon and attaching wires correctly. I was very pleased with his professional manner and charges for service and Freon were competitive.

We were assigned Summer Breeze through our AHS service and our currently struggling to establish our THIRD service call. The first tech arrived on at the very last minute on the 4-8 PM window and after working on the fan motor took off in a hurry without even waiting to see if the unit was working properly. The house sat hot for DAYS afterward trying to schedule the appointment with a recall notice. The second repair seemed to go well, and I give props to Marc to identifying the problem, communicating well with me, and admitting it was because the previous tech didn't wire the capacitor properly. The house stayed nice and cool for two days before hot air started blowing through the system once more. Though they list Saturday hours, I tried constantly from 8 AM to 12 PM on both the main office line AND Marc's cell phone. Not only is there no answer, but the voicemail on their main number is completely full—immediately showing their commitment to customer service by not even checking their own messages. This has been the hottest part of summer and it's been miserable having no air conditioning and having to deal with a company with terrible communication and low commitment to seeing the job through. Marc's work has been the one bright spot in all of this, but even he isn't returning my calls.

We thank you for your concerns.I have spoken to Amanda our dispathcer who was in the office from 8-12 Saturday and somehow we missed your call.The on call tech was Greg Saurday and he said he was never contacted by your warranty company to be dispatched a emergency recall work order for your problem,not sure what happened there.We are very concerned with customer service and have a A plus rating with the BBB.We use 8x8 business phones and when Amanda checked the messages Saturday it indicated no messages were in our system for both ouroffice numbers.We are contacting 8x8 inc to see what the problem was.OurGPS vehicle tracking shows that Troy arrived at the house at 6:31 and left at 8:08 pm.We have corrected Troy on the replacement motor needing a separate Fan capacitor on that particular motor which is different from most other motor applications,but he did tell me that when he left the motor was working normally.Ihave directed Marc to offer you a free fall tune on your furnaces when he returns to your home and we apologize for any inconvience to you and your family. We called Summer Breeze to come out to give us a second opinion after the first A/C company that responded to our home warranty claim reported that our unit needed the coils cleaned (not covered by warranty). The Summer Breeze technician found several mechanical problems and fought to have our warranty company pay for the repairs. Unlike other companies associated with our home warranty, Summer Breeze did not try to sell us a maintenance plan, but instead repaired our A/C to perfect working order (no coil cleaning needed). I would highly recommend this company for honest, reliable service.

I had them out here via my American Home Shield warranty. The technician was very thorough and quickly resolved the issue with our compressor, even though it was late on a Tuesday night. It was a very positive experience.

It took 4 days to get a service call for a non-functioning A/C unit. When the serviceman was at our home, he seemed like he was in a rush, did not really care to be here, and was very disinterested in actually finding the problem. He was here for 15 minutes, changed a single part on our AC unit, told us our problem was electrical and left. He never even tested the unit with the power on (we told him several times the unit was off at the thermostat), never checked any other items on the unit - just took the check and left. After calling a 24/7 electrician out, the electrician came, diagnosed the breaker, the lines, the unit and determined the problem WAS IN FACT THE UNIT and is NOT electrical! We tried to contact Summer Breeze again to come back out, stand by their work and provide immediate relief but apparently 24/7 emergency service is NOT actually available. They do not respond until the next business day.

Wow, where to start.. My home warranty company (Old Rupublic) sent Summer Breeze to my home and the tech quickly found a leak in my evaporator coil due to a "king valve" (I find out later that my unit doesn't even have this valve) being installed inproperly so the repair wasn't covered under the home warranty. The hvac tape and coating was never removed or cut so apparently the tech didn't even look inside my unit. The tech slipped out of my house and left with out notifying my wife or I. I sat at home for 2 hours waiting for him to return, assuming he was out getting parts until the home warranty company calls me and says that the repairs would not be covered. Anyway I got a real HVAC company out and they couldn't find a leak and laughed when I said my king valve was installed incorrectly. The professional opened my unit and found that my coil was extrememly dirty, cleaned it, and solved the problem. I will not be extending my home warranty with Old Republic and will NEVER do business with Summer Breeze.

Thank you for your review.Travis the tech who is one of eight service techs employed at summerbreeze said the srader core on the suction king valve which all ac units have had a melted rubber o ring on it due to valve being overheated when the ac unit was installed and welded in.It was leaking Freon when he took the valve cap off.Travis said he did a leak search of system with a electronic sniffer leak detector.He said he only removed the tape at the front top center of the evap coil front access door and the tape he peeled off is on the hot water heater beside it.His detector sounded a leak alarm at right side center of evap coil.He called your warranty company when he left to get autho to replace the coil expecting to come back and replace the coil.Upon the rep asking him why the system had leaked he told them of the overheated suction king valve having a melted rubber o ring and they denied the claim for that reason.Travis has been employed here for two years and has been a excellent technician and has given us no reason to think he is scamming people.If he was scamming customers he would be fired there are plenty of good techs available to replace him in this economy.We would not knowingly keep people employed here who are harming our reputation we have spent 16 years building. I had Summer Breeze replace my coils in one of my attic furnaces. Knowing that it needed replaced at the end of the summer last year, I decided to hold off until this year. The old one didn't last long, so I started to call around and find the best product for the best price. Summer Breeze was referred to me by someone, and I was pleasantly surprised. They were very quick and thorough, and didn't charge be extra for more freon or having to add a moisture sensor for my unit. Other places nickel and dimed me, but Summer Breeze was very fair. I have dealt with 3 other companies with the same unit, and it was a headache everytime. I felt like I was being "sold" on their services. But Summer Breeze was very knowledgeable and easy to work with, I will be using them from now on!

This company was sent out by AHS warranty. They lied and said that my air filter was the cause of my compressor going bad when my filter is changed every 3 months. The tech then stole the filter from my unit. Then informs me that AHS will deny the claim but he can cut me a deal and get it fixed today. He then quotes me and my mom 2 different prices. I refused and after speaking with several HVAC specialists (including one who trains others in Atlanta area) and paying for second and third opinions, their claims are completely false for one has nothing to do with the other. Furthermore, the specialist I paid for confirmed that my coils, ducts and entire unit was clean and that there is an electrical problem with the compressor and it is not my filter. I have found that they have run this scam on multiple AHS customers and I am taking legal action. I am filing a complaint with the BBB. I have also notified my insurance company USAA to never use this vendor for any services or recommend them on their home improvement network. Fortunately, USAA has never heard of this company but they have stated that they will ensure that none of their affiliates will contract this company. No customer should have to go through what I am going through.

The tech Gavin found the air filter clogged took pictures of it and e-mailed them to your warranty company.We are required to report to them any maintenance issues that cause sytem component failure.Yes dirty filters can cause compressor burnout.When a clogged filter restricts air flow and drops suction pressure this can allow liquid refrigerant to migrate back to the compressor where it washes the oil out of the compressor,This can cause the stator to drop and create an electrical short in the windings.Many compressor failures are a direct result of clogged air filters.This is not a out of the ordinary failure.Gavin said he did not steal your dirty filter but left it by the unit.We have been in business for 16 years and in that time run around 50,000 service calls in the Atlanta area.Thank you for your review
